If you can defend Gideon for a few turns, you🅠 gain access to his final abil💯ity, which exiles any target nonland permanent. This is an extremely powerful effect, allowing you to deal with any threat that you might come across.
Gideon Blackblade saw some Standard play when he was legal in that format but is nowadays mostly relegated to EDH deck🌃s. While he is not the strongest Gideon to ever be printed, he can still be useful in certain types of decks.

This is probably one of the strongest incarnations of Gideon, and has seen the most plaꦦy in competitive decks over the years. He can turn into a 5/5 with indestructible during your turn or create a 2/2 Knight. His final ability is also pretty strong, giving you an emblem that offers all your creatures +1/+1. When played in an Aggro deck, you can even sacrifice Gideon instantly, thus giving you his emblem to buff all your creatures.
This planeswalker dominated Standard for a long time, with most white creature-bas🍒ed decks running a few copies. He even saw some Modern play, especially in sideboards, even though nowadays he has been replaced by various Elspeth iterations.

One of the Elspeth variants that have mostly seen play in White Aggro decks since she can make an army of 1/1's that can also chump block to defend her. Her strongest aspect is the fact that both her basic abilities will increase her loyalty counters, making her a continuous threat as long as you can protect her.
