Boros (red/white) is one of the color combos that are available to build your Commander decks in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering. Boros frequently have a large focus on Equipment and other artifact themes since th🦩ere are a plethora of support cards an🍸d Commanders for those themes.

In Commander, so long as🎀 a card is not on the banlist or illegal in all formats then it is legal to use in Commander no matter how old or new it is. As such, the wide card pool can be a bit daunting to find the cards you need. Luckily, there are staples that every combination has to make deck building easier.

Ramp

Land Tax Card MTG

Ramp is one of Boros' biggest weaknesses. The color combination 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:has situational ramp that may not always get you what you need, and tends to rely on others being more ahead of you in land. As such, going first is something that Boros tends to not want to do in Commande⛎r to make sure these eff𒐪ects can be used.

Boros has access to Treasure token generation that can assist in getting you the mana you need. The red side of the color combination has ways to give you a fair bit of red mana through ritual spells that add red mana to your mana 𒁃pool as well for busts of ramp.

Land Tax

Land Tax is an enchantment that can come down on turn one, and will give you three bꦐasic lands at the start of your upkeep if an opponent has more lands than you. In Commander where there are four players, this is easily achievable, especially if your opponents are playing more ramp-friendly colors.

Gift Of Estates

Similar to Land Tax, but on a sorcery, Gift Of Estates adds any three Plains cards to your hand. It requires you to control less lands than an opponent, but the Plains do not have to be basic. This allows you to get dual lands like Sacred Foundry or Alpine Meadow.

Smothering Tithe

Smothering Tithe gives you a Treasure token whenever an opponent draws a card and they do not pay two mana. This includes your opponents' draw for turn and any draw after that, so unless they have a lot of excess mana you are often creating a lot of Treasure tokens for your next turn.

Jeska's Will

Jeska's Will is ramp and pseudo-draw for just three mana. It can either add red mana to your mana pool equal to the number of cards in an opponent's hand or exiles the top three cards to play them that turn (or both if you control your commander).

Since you can cast Jeska's Will early, before your opponents can play many spells and deplete their hands, it's not uncommon to gain a ton of red mana for that turn to ramp into your larger spells.

Boros Signet

Boros Signet can turn any one mana into both a red and a white mana. This gives you ❀two mana for the price of one. In Boros where accelerating your ramp is key, Boros Signet is a must-run inclusion.

Talisman Of Conviction

Talisman Of Conviction can tap for either a colorless mana or turn that color into red or white at the cost of one life. It only costs two mana, so you can play it as early as turn one if you have a Sol Ring to go along with it.

Card Draw

 MTG Esper Sentinel card

Boros has issues with getting regular card draw. There is only a small amount of solid card draw options in the traditional sense, but where Boros card draw shines is what is called impulse draw - exiling cards and being able to cast them until the end of the turn (or sometimes until the e🦹nd of the next turn).

Boros doesn't have many options for card drawing, and it is one of its most well-known weaknesses in the color pairing.

Esper Sentinel

Esper Sentinel is the best card draw card Boros has. When an opponent casts a noncreature spell, unless they pay mana equal to Esper Sentinel's power, you draw a card.

It triggers whenever an opponent cast their first noncreature spell each turn, not just on their own. So if multiple players use interaction on a player's turn the tax effect applies to them both.

Faithless Looting

Faithless Looting draws you two cards and then has you discard two cards from your hand. If you have dead cards in your hand like excess land or useless spells you can get ꧅rid of those and draw cards. Faithless Looting has flashback as well so you can utilize its effect twice.

Reckless Impulse/Wrenn's Resolve

Reckless Impulse and Wrenn's Resolve are two of the many impulse draw options. Both cards are functionally the same and exile the top two cards of your library and let you cast them until the end of your next turn.

Unlike many other impulse draw effects, these cards allow you to wait until your next turn to pl꧙aᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚy them so that you have full access to all your mana.

Magus Of The Wheel

Magus Of The Wheel is a way to completely refresh your hand. By paying two mana and tapping it to sacrifice it you can have💟 every player discard their hand and draw seven cards. While this effect does allow everyone to refresh their hands, this can be used as interruption if an opponent tutored for a card by foꦇrcing them to discard it.

Removal

The card Chaos Warp from Magic: The Gathering.

168澳﷽洲幸运5开奖网:Removal is one of the areas t🌼hat Boros shines in. There is a plethora of cheap removal spells available for every kind of permanent. These tend to involve some kind of trade-off, but it's so minimal it hardly actually matters.

Though Boros removal tends to give something to the opponent, be it another permanent or life, when it can get rid of a game-winning permanent, ♏this is more thꦦan worth it.

Swords To Plowshares/Path To Exile

Both of these cards exile a target creature for just one white mana. Swords To Plowshare gives the opponent life equal to the creature's power while Path To Exile lets them put a basic land onto the battlefield tapped from their library.

Their effects are slightly different but are used in the same way - exilin🎉g a powerful creature and being able to get around indestructible since they exile the creatu🐠re instead of destroying it.

Chaos Warp

Chaos Warp can shuffle any permanent into the library. It does lead to the opponent revealing the top card of their library and getting to put it on the battlefield if it is a permanent otherwise it stays on the top of the library. It can be a bit of a gamble, but mor🎃e often than not the upside is worth the downside as Chaos Warp can get rid of the biggest problem on the 🅰battlefield.

Generous Gift

Generous Gift can destroy any permanent on the battlefield. Its controller only gets a 3/3 token in exchange. It can take care of problem lands and any other permanent to solve the issues they're causing.

Rip Apart

Rip Apart can destroy any artifact or enchantment unconditionally for just one red and one white mana. Alternatively, you can use it as removal on a creature or planeswalker by🐎 dealing three damage to it. It is a sorcery, but its versatility makes it worthwhile to include.

Board Wipes

Vanquish the Horde artwork MTG

Another strength of Boros, the color comb♍ination has a giant slew of board wipe options. In Commander, it is important to have a few as they are the only way to handle gi🦹ant battlefields.

Boros has some of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:most iconic board wipes due to their power. Many of the best can be cast at a discount b🎃ased on how many creatures are on the battlefield.

Vanquish The Horde

Vanquish The Horde simply destroys all creatures. It does normally cost eight mana (two of those white mana) but the cost is discounted for each creature on the battlefield. When the time comes that you need to cast it, the battlefield often has at least six creatures so it's very common to cast Vanquish The Horde for just two white mana.

Blasphemous Act

Similar to Vanquish The Horde, Blasphemous Act ꧑also discounts its cost for each creature on the battlefield. It๊ will deal 13 damage to each creature when cast. It does cost nine mana (with one of those red mana) to cast without a discount but it is very common for it to be cast for just one red mana to set up your battlefield after wiping it.

Farewell

Farewell is a board wipe that can hit almost any permanent. You have the option to exile all artifacts, creatures, enchantments, and/or graveyards. If there is a mode you don't want to select you don't have to - you only have to choose one or more. It gets around indestructible as well to ensure you get rid of everything you're aiming to do.

Wrath Of God

Wrath Of God lets you destroy all 𒈔creatures for just four mana - one of the cheapest board wipes in Commander. It also prevents those creatures from being regenerated.

Interaction

MTG: Teferi's Protection card

Boros has a large number of spells that interact with the opponent. There are options that can protect yourself and all your permanents at instant speed. There are also ways to pump up your creatures' stats and abilities by giving them new ones.

Boros even has options available that punishes the opponent for playing the game faster. Interaction is one of Boros' biggest strengths.

Teferi's Protection

One of the best protection spells of all time, Teferi's Protection phases all of your permanents out and gives you protection from everything while preventing your life total from being changed. This essentially removes you from being affected by anything in the game in any way (although it does leave you open to non-targetted spells) but allows you to still interact with the battlefield.

Boros Charm

Boros Charm is a versatile spell that can be used both offensively and defensively. You have the option to deal four damage🎃 to a player or planeswalker, give all of your permanents indestructible, or give a creature you control double strike. This can be done at instant speed and catch the opponent off guard.

Deflecting Swat

Deflecting Swat allows you to change the targets of a spell or ability to a different target. This lets you ensure you are safe from being targeted by🍸 an effect and can send that back or to another target. If you control your commander you can even cast it for free.

Akroma's Will

This card has two separate modes, but you can choose both if you control your commander. One of the options is giving your creatures flying, vigilance, and double strike until the end of the turn and the other gives them lifelink, indestructible, and protection from all colors. This allows you to use Akroma's Will to make them evasive or make them into damaging threats (or both if your commander is under your control).

Authority Of The Consuls

Authority Of The Consuls drastically slows your opponents' creatures down as it forces them to enter the battlefield tapped. In addition, it gains you a life whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control. It only costs one mana to play to make it impactful as early as the first turn of the game.
