168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering brings about another 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dungeons & Dragons crossover, this time with four preconstructed 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Commander decks. Each Commander Legends: Battle For Baldur's Gate deck has its own strategy, and Draconic Dissent focuses on the Dragon creature type and the goad mechanic. Goad was introduced in Conspiracy: Take the Crown, and forces a c🐲reature to attack another player besides you until your next turn.
Firkraag, Cunning Instigator, a 3/3 Dragon, is this deck’s commander. His goad-centric abilities are the focus of the Draconic Dissent deck. While it’s a fun and unique deck, it’s difficult to find some inexpensive cards that will make this deck more competitive and have your friends thinking twice before they play 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a hatebear they have no intention of attacking with.
At the time of writing, every card in this list🉐 can be found for under $5, allowing you to significantly upgrade your deck for under $50.
10 🍸 Life Of The Party
The Streets of New Capenna Commander decks had one card💙 with goad that fits nicely into Draconic Dissent. Life of the Party might have a low toughness thꦫat would make any other creature vulnerable to combat, but first strike makes up for it.
Since this deck boasts a whopping 28 creatures, your copy could come in as a very powerful attacker. Opponents with lots of creatures, on the other hand, will suffer, as Life of the Party makes goaded copies of itself for your adversaries. While their versions have to attack – and 𒊎could hit for a lot of damag💟e – you get to sit back and watch the chaos ensue.
9 Illusionist's Gambit
Commander 2013 released 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a fun combat trick that really discombobulates the attack phase and oppon🐷ents. Imagine being in a four-player game when you’re attacked by one of your opponents and, 𒀰instead of choosing blockers, you pay two blue and two generic mana to cast Illusionist’s Gambit
This brings an end to the combat and begins a new attack phase, forcing the attacking opponent to choose a differen🐎t player to attack. Not only are you safe, but the creatures have to attack on this second phase, which triggers F🐓irkraag’s second ability.
8 Aggravate
Aggravate doesn’t give creatures goad, but it still works in this deck since Firkraag’s second ability doesn’t specify goad, only if a creature is forced to attack. Getting creatures to attack every turn they can is a fun strategy to focus a deck around, because it disrupts any plans players🗹 might have. Th🎶ey’re forced to adapt, and creatures they rely on might not be around when they need them.
Using goad as a combat trick is top-notch entertainment. Play Aggravate at instant speed before an opponent assigns attackers and watch them scramble as they are forced t🔜o attack with creatures they want to protect.
7 🌟 Goblin Racketeer
Goblin Racketeer is a lowly common from Conspiracy: Take the Crown that can easily find a home in Draconic Dissent. Its toughness might not allow it to survive after its first attack, but that one attack will allow you to goad one creature.🐻 You want to goad enemy creatures in order to pump Firkraag and draw a card.
If you’re able to equip Goblin Racketeer to ℱpump his toughness 💎or give him some sort of evasion, he’ll give you a big advantage.
6 Niv-Mizzet,🐼 Th🔴e Firemind
Niv-Mizzet has been a Commander staple for some time. Niv-Mizzet, Pa༺run🔯 is one of the best Izzet commanders, but his first iteration from 2006’s Guildpact was a fun combo commander. The Firemind fits into Draconic Dissent to synergize with Firkraag's second ability, which allows you to draw a card.
Niv-Mizzet is simply added as a method to deliver damage to your opponents without needing to attack. He also draws you a card by tapping him down, which is an exceꦕllent end-of-turn action: draw a card, deal some damage. If you want a real combo, add in the enchantment Curiosity and attach it to Niv-Mizzet for an instant way to either win the game or deck yourself out.
5 Popular Entertainer ༒
Popular Entertainer is one of the new enchantment subtypes known as a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Background. This Background is perfect for Firkraag, Cunning Instigator, since i🐟t goads enemy creatures consistently.
If you attack with a dragon while Firkraag is on the battlefield, you’ll get the trigger from him and from Popular Entertainer, gꦉoading at least two creatures each turn, possibly more if there is more than one opponent, which is likely in Commander.
Since the Background is an enchant🐻ment, there’s a l💜imited number of ways for it to be removed from the battlefield, allowing it to stay in play and cause havoc for longer.
4 Komaꦛinu Battle Armor
Komainu Battle Armor is a fun inclusion to Draconic𒀰 Dissent. It’s only a 2/2 for one red and two generic mana, but a couple things make🦄 it an MVP.
First, it has menace, meaning it needs to be blocked by two or more creatures. It’s a nice form of evasion that can let you slip by your opponent’s defenses in most formats. You could even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:reconfigure it onto an even more evasive creature.
Secondly, goading aꦑll the creatures an opponent controls when they take damage from this Equipment Dog is going to make Firkraag a happy Dragon.
3 Jeeri🔯ng Homunculu𝐆s
Jeering Homunculus is an unsuspecting creature, and it doesn’t really matter if it dies. As long as it enters🀅 the battlefield, it has done its job, and that job is to simply goad a creature an opponent controls. With a 0/4 body, Jeering Homunculus is a great defender for just two mana.
If you’re able to fit in a couple of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:blink effects, the Homunculus’s value shoots up. Blinking it allows you to repeatedly goad other creatures, so throwing in cards like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling o▨r Deadye Navigator would be a great way to use this creature as a tool of chaos.
2 ✃ Coveted Peacock🥃
A 3/4 for five mana isn’t much to write home about; even with fly⛎ing, it’s a rather unimpressiv🌺e creature.
Luckily, you’re more interested in Coveted Peacockℱ’s ability to goad a creature controlled by a defending player more than anything. As long as your opponent doesn’t have a blocker, you’re goading a new creature each turn and🔯 making Firkraag bigger when they inevitably counterattack. Coveted Peacock’s toughness is big enough that it can prove to be a good defender when it’s strategically better to keep it back, too.
1 Besmirch
Between cards like Act of Treason and Claimไ the Firstborn, red is notorious for spells that take control of an opponent’s creature so you can use it for yourself. Whether that’s attacking your opponent or using the creature’s ability for yourself, you get to take advantage of something that isn’t yours.
Besmirch does this and then some. Once you’re done with the creature, if it’s alive, your opponent gets it back, but now it’s goaded. This allows a♚not🌳her opportunity to get rid of the creature when it attacks an opponent.
