  • The art in the set showcases unique and striking visuals, including Tezzeret, cyborg warriors, and space.
  • The set will blend science fiction with fantasy, featuring magic and new twists like Aliens and possibly exploring the Blind Eternities.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering has flirted with sci-fi a lot in recent years, but 2025’s Edge Of Eternities looks 🍸set to be the biggest shift into the genre the game has ever seen.

With spaceship battles, planets, and the return of Tezzeret, the little we’ve seen of it is alreaಌdy among the most out-there and striking Magic art we’ve had in a꧃ very long time.

Wizar𝔍ds of the Coast didn’t reveal any cards for Edge of Eternities in its MagicCon Vegas preview panel, but it did give us a real look at the set after its concept art tease late last year. Though it’s not Magic’s first sci-🅺fi set, thanks to Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, it offers us a unique look at the multiverse.

Among the art, we see a green planet coated in trees, with a large black hole in the distance, and in another we have a cyborg warrior brandishing a sword. While the hair is black instead of white, the white armour, glowing sword, and ethnicity of the character c𝓰ertainly gives Wanderer vibes.

By far the most impressive piece, though, is of Tezzeret, floating in the void of space. Tezzeret was one of the main villains of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the previous Phyrexian arc, and has been largely missing since Phyrexia💫’s defeat in March of the Machine. It also shows off some of the harder sci-fi themes of the set, with spaceships engaging in dogfights, a planet blowing up, and another black hole.

Despite these sci-fi elements, Wizards is keen to impress that Edge of Eternities is considered science fantasy. It’ll still include magic and other things from Magic we’re familiar with. For example, one the arts shown is that of a giant space whale, which feels distinctl♓y more Spelljammer-esque than the spaceships and cyborgs we’ve already been shown.

Are We Finally Exploring The Blind Eternities?

The name Edge of Eternities also gives us a hint of where this could be set. In Magic, the gaps between each plane are known as the Blind Eternities. Though they’re home to former big bads the Eldrazi, perhaps Edge of Eternities is giving us a closer look at the Blind Eternities in a world after the Omenpaths have opened, or maybe e♌ven ♔a look outside of the entire multiverse at what lies beyond.

Edge of Eternities will feature Aliens, the first time the type has been in Standard. It has previousl🎐y appeared in other formats thanks to Unfinitꦜy and Doctor Who, though.

Magic’s last attempt at doing outer space didn’t go very꧟ well, as it was the parody set Unfinity. But the sci-fi was by far the strongest part of its aesthetic, with the planetary full-art basic lands being one of the best reasons to pick up packs of the set. Edge of Eternities will likely feature similar conceඣpts, but in a less silly, more true-to-Magic way.

Edge of Eternities is scheduled to launch on August 1, 2025, as the fourth major release of the year following 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Aetherdrift, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tarkir Dragonstorm, and Final Fantasy. We should expect Play an꧅d Collector boosters, bundles, and Commander decks to be included, just as with a♓ny other Standard release.

With the launch of this set, we should also see Standard rotate, saying💝 goodbye to Dominaria United through to March Of The Machine: The Aftermath, before rotation changes to calendar years in 2027.
