The Wanderer is a unique Planeswalker, making her first appearance in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering's Wa🎃r Of The Spark set. She is a native of Kamigawa and the Emperor of the Plane. Unlike other Planeswalkers, the Wanderer does not have control of her spark, and this leads to her planeswalking erratically to various🐟 planes across the Multiverse.
The Wanderer does not have a known name, having to keep it a secret due to her position as the Emperor. The Wanderer is centered in white mana and gifted with a sword, and she's capable of handling large beasts with just one swing of her blade.
Childhood And Spark
As a child, the Wanderer befriended a fellow student and future Planeswalker Kaito Shizuki. They trained under the kitsune Light-Paws, who acted as the Wanderer's main advisor both in childhood and adult life. Light-Paws gifted the Wanderer with a puppy named Yoshimaru, telling her to learn to care for the dog so that she 🤪could care for Kamigawa when she came of age. She was successful in her training, performing well along with Kaito as the two grew stronger and closer, becoming best friends.
Tragedy struck when the Planeswalker Tezzeret arrived. He had come trying to find a way to control Kyodai, a spirit that is connected to the Plane itself. To do so, he used an early prototype of an artifact known as the Reality Chip. However, it proved to be too unstable, and the act caused the Wanderer's Planeswalker spark to ignite. Due to how unstable the Reality Chip was, it caused the Wanderer's own spark to become just as unstable. Unable to control it, the Wanderer planeswalked away, disappearing from Kamigawa, no one knowing where she went. Kaito was the only one to witness Tezzeret fleeing the scene but was unable to catch him. Afterward, Kaito vowed to find both the Wanderer and Tezzeret, the one who caused her disappearance.
Appearances On Other Planes
The Wanderer, now much older, appeared on various planes as decided by wherever her spark sent her. She had a small reprieve 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:when the Interplannar Beacon was activated on Ravnica, luring all Planeswalkers to the Plane. After the activation of the Immortal Sun, it shut down her ability to planeswalk away. She assisted her fellow Planeswalkers in the fight against the dragon Planeswalker Nicol Bolas, who was tr꧃ying to take control of both Ravnica and the Multiverse itse🍌lf.
After the shutdown of the Immortal Sun, the Wanderer was able to stay on the Plane to help finish the fight. She survived the War Of The Spark and was back to wandering across the various Planes of the Multiverse. At some point, she landed on the Plane of Ikoria, where sh🙈e fended off🅘 giant monsters before disappearing again.
Return To Kamigawa
After ten years of being gone, the Wanderer finally appeared back on Kamigawa. She arrived just in time to help Kaito from a large dragon mech. Reunited at last, she returned to the chamber of Kyodai to check on them. Kaito gave the Reality Chip to the Wanderer, hoping to help her stay grounded on Kamigawa as she feels she has to work especially hard to stay on the Plane. It is successful in maintaining her spark and anchoring her to Kamigawa. As a side effect, she sees the plans of the Phyrexian Praetor Jin-Gitaxis, who had already told the Asari Uprisers - a group of rebels hoping to overthrow the current Imperial Palace - that the Emperor had returned.♌ He wanted them to attack before word of her turn traveled throughout Kamigawa.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:While the Planeswalker Tamiyo and Kaito decided to attack Jin-Gitaxias' secret laboratory, the Wanderer deemed it best to stay at the palace to help against the Asari Uprisers. However, Jin-Gitaxias is already ready for them, and the Wanderer sees their defeat in a vision. She focused all her energy on planeswalk towards them, succeeding and appearing with a flash of light and a slash of her sword, incapacitating Jin-Gitaxias. She saved Tamiyo and Kaito, working to take care of the Praetor's henchmen.
Tezzeret was among them, and he manipulated the Reality Chip to cause pain to travel all through the Wanderer's body, which was, in turn, hurting Kyodai. She almost planeswalked away but was stopped when Kyodai asked her to stay and protect Eiganjo, home of the Imperial Palace, where the Asari Uprising had begun. They subdue Tezzeret, and the Wanderer entrusts the Realit Chip to Tamiyo.
All three Planeswalkers board a mech, with Tezzeret held captive to be taken to Kyodai to answer for his crimes. However, Tezzeret managed to escape as the mech crashed. All the Planeswalkers are safe, but the Wanderer noticed Risona, the leader of Uprisers charging Kyodai's temple and giving chase to her. They also saw Tezzeret himself chasing after the Wanderer. Tamiyo and Kaito are successful in stopping Tezzeret's chase, and Tezzeret becomes much more interested in the Reality Chip they possess.
Risona makes it into Kyodai's temple, but the Wanderer catches up to her. Though Risona attacks the Wanderer, she does not return the swing, acting only defensively. Risona calls the Wanderer out for disappearing and leaving Kamigawa abandoned. The Wanderer is ready to make her first strike when Risona is suddenly knocked unconscious by a rock to the back of the head; the assailant is revealed to be Kaito.
Without their leader, the Uprisers surrender and retreat, the uprising over. However, their celebrations are brief, as the Wanderer feels herself being dragged away from the Plane once again. She requested Light-Paws to speak to her before her wayward spark pulled her away. With the blessing of Kyodai, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Wanderer 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:grants Light-Paws the position of Regent, the kitsune now Kamigawa's leader, while the Emperor is gone. A smile to Kaito is the Wanderer's last act on Kamigawa before she is forced to planeswalk away, Kaito vowing the find her once again and bring her home.
Against New Phyrexia
Sometime after the events on Kamigawa, Kaito was successful in reuniting with the Wanderer. Together, they travel to Dominaria to introduce themself to the Gatewatch - a group of Planeswalkers who vow to protect th♕e universe from Inter-Planar threats. Having dealt with Jin-Gitaxias on Kamigawa, 𓆉they have experience fighting the Praetors.
Whether or not sh💎e has learned to control her wayward spark is yet to be seen. She has joined forces with fellow Planeswalkers on a direct assault on New Phyrexia to take care of the Phyrexian problem before it spreads to even more Planes.
