One weapon you're likely to see across the plane are reconfigurable artifacts – creatures one second, weapons and armour the next; they provide fights with an unexpected advantage. In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, this is represented with the new Reconfigure mechanic, but it is, and how can you make the most of it? Here is everything you n𝕴eed to💦 know about Reconfigure.

What Is Reconfigure?

Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty introduces the first-ever "Equipment Creatures". These are artifact creatures who can function as both a normal creature and as an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:equipment artifact, depending on which way you've reconfigured it.

Reconfigure, then, is an equipment creature's version of an Equip cost. All Reconfigure creatures enter the battlefield as creatures, and paying the Reconfigure cost allows them to become attached to another creature just like equipment. Remember that you can only Reconfigure at sorcery speed, meaning when the stack isꦉ empty on o🍷ne of your two main phases.

Other than the fact they're creatures, they work the same as any other equipment: you can attach and unattach them, pass them between creatures, and any ability that mentions equipment also applies to the🐲se.

Creatures with Reconfigure often have different benefits depending on whether they are creatures or attached to something else. For example, Rabbit Battery just has haste when it's a creature, but by paying the one red to Reconfigure it, you can give another creature +1/+1 and haste instead.

A creature with Reconfigure is only a creature when it's not attached to something else. If it is attached to something else, the Reconfigure creature stops being a creature and is purely an equipment artifact. If the equipped creature leaves the battlefield, the equipment remains on the battlefield and returns to being an equipment artifact creature. In your library, hand, graveyard, exile, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Command zone, an equipment creature is a creature.

How To Use Reconfigure

One thing to remember about Reconfigure is that it's simply a keyword that means "attach to target creature you control". That means if you can find other ways to attach it, you can circumvent the sometimes quite steep Reconfigure costs.

For example, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist allows you attach any number of auras and equipment onto a permanent. Reconfigure creatures are always equipment, so you're effectively Reconfiguring them for free.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Voltron decks (decks with a focus on equipment) are going to love Reconfigure. A Voltron deck's biggest weakness is that they often put all their eggs into one basket, focusing on building up one creature over having a large board state to block with. With Reconfigure, the equipment at the heart of your strategy also doubles up as your blockers, letting you go wide when you need it or build up your main Voltron target when it's ready to go.

Surprisingly, white has the two most interesting Reconfigure creatures: Cloudsteel Kirin and Lion Sash. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cloudsteel Kirin has an effect similar to Platinum Angel, where you can't lose and your opponent can't win for as long as Cloudsteel Kirin is attached to another creature. It's easy to get around thanks to abundant artifact removal, but this could be powerful in a control deck.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lion Sash, on the other hand, is ridiculous. You can pay one white to exile a card from a library, and if it was a permanent, you put a +1/+1 counter on Lion Sash. The creature it attaches to then gets +1/+1 for each counter on it – so it's Scavenging Ooze, a staple of numerous formats – but you can pass the effect around with equipment. It's wild.

What Colour Is Reconfigure?

Reconfigure is one of the central mechanics of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, and is found in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:all colours. However, the tension between tradition and modernity is at the heart of the set's conflict. With red most representing the 'modernity' side of that argument, it's not surprising to see it get the most cards.

As of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, There ar🍬e 16 cards with Reconfigure. Six of them are red, three are blue, three a🐼re black, two are white, and two are green. There are no multicolour Reconfigure cards, and, shockingly, there are no colourless ones yet either.
