Wizards of the Coast has announced it is delaying the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic the Gathering parody set Unfinity to the second half of 2022.
Unfinity, which was originally scheduled to launch on April 1, is the fourth parody 'Un-set'. Set in an outer space funfair, Unfinity follows in the footsteps of previous Unsets by featuring unique mechanics that simply wouldn't work in the main Magic game. While these cards (denoted by a new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:acorn-shaped stamp) aren't legal in any format other than those that explicitly use Un-cards, Unfinity is also the first Un-set to include cards that are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fully legal in Legacy, Commander, and Vintage.
According to Wizards on , the delay is due to "ongoing supply chain complications from challenges associated with Covid-19". It has not yet announced a new release date for the set, but it is now expected to launch in Q3 or Q4 2022, likely placing it some time between Dominaria United and The Brothers' War.
The set is also noteworthy because of its reprints of the popular 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Shock Lands like Hallowed Fountain or Godless Shrine. Shock lands are some of the most useful lands in the game, and Unfinity will be i🥃ncluding all ten of them in new, sci-fi themed full-art printings.
Unfinity isn't the first MTG set to be delayed by Covid and its resulting supply chain issues, but it is the most drastic, and the most widespread. Innistrad: Crimson Vow set boosters and promo cards were not in stores in time for the set's prerelease on November 12. The set before it, Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, saw similar things happen in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the Phillippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
It's not just Magic that's been affected, either. Most recent Yu-Gi-Oh! expansions have seen delays, including the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Tin of Ancient Battles, which wasn't available in many stores at launch last September, and The Grand Creators booster set being pushed back from January 14, 2022 to January 28.
Curiously, these delays aren't expected to impact the next Magic set, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, despite it launching on February 18. Though certain regions won't be receiving booster packs 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in their own language, no del🦩ays for Neon Dynasty have been confirmed so f𒅌ar.
