Kaya is one of the more recent Planeswalkers to be introduced in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic The Gathering. The ghost hunter made her first appear🏅ance in Conspiracy: Take the Crown in 2016 and has quickly become an important character in t꧒he Multiverse.
Kaya is primarily aligned in white and black mana and even served as the guildmaster for the Orzhov Syndicate on Ravnica. She is capable of making her body intangible and traveling through solid objects, which proves especially useful when chasing down spirits, though this process does stop her heart. Little is known about Kaya's past, including her last name and how her Planeswalker spark ignited. She is from the Plane of Tolvada, though the Plane is now destroyed.
The Ghost Assassin
Kaya's first appearance has her traveling to the Plane Fiora to perform an assassination. She was assigned to kill the ghost of Emilio Revari's mother, who was a nobleman on the Plane. However, upon the discovery that Emilio was the one that killed her, she lured him into a trap and left him with the spirit of his mother to fall victim to whatever she had in store for him.
However, her business on Fiora was not done, and she took a contract from Marchesa d'Amati to assassinate the spirit king Brago, who acted as the ruler of the High City Of Paliano on Fiora. She succeeded in infiltrating Brago's quarters and completed the hit, killing the spirit and freeing Paliano of his tyranny. Though Kaya was attacked by one of his guards after the assassination, Kaya had no desire to fight her as she left Fiora, Marchesa d'Amati rising to claim the throne left behind by Brago.
Orzhov Syndicate
The dragon Planeswalker Nicol Bolas found Kaya and hired her to assassinate the Obzedat, the ruling body of the Orzhov Syndicate made up of multiple spirits who were former Orzhov patriarchs and matriarchs. She joined up with fellow Planeswalkers Ral Zarek and Vraska to attack th꧋e Obzedat. They assisted in distracting Orzhov troops while Kaya moved past them to reach the Obzedat directly. She succe🃏eded in killing them.
This act would cause Kaya to become the guildmaster of the Orzhov Syndicate due to the laws of the guild. She completed the contract, and as payment, Nicol Bolas had claimed he would help her home Plane of Tolvada. However, her rise to guildmaster was all a part of Bolas' plan, and she needed to do his bidding in exchange for carrying out his end of the deal.
Many in the Orzhov refused to acknowledge Kaya's new position, even though Kaya freed many Ravnicans from debts they owed the Orzhov Syndicate. To compensate for the draining finances, Kaya quadrupled the tithes required, which led to riots. This led to her closest ally within the guild, Teysa Karlov, to distance herself from Kaya, leading to𝓰 even less respect for her position.
Kaya and Teysa attended a guild summit together despite their falling out, where Isperia, the guildmaster of the Azorius was petrified by Vraska, the guildmaster of the Golgari. Upon returning to the Orzhov Syndicate, it was discovered that hierarchs were pressuring Teysa to arrest Kaya. Kaya, however, managed to have Teysa arrested while offering the hierarchs a way out of contracts they were bound t🃏o.
War Of The Spark
Kaya assisted Ral Zarek in activating the Interplanar Beacon to attract Planeswalkers to Ravnica to assist in the final fight against Nicol Bolas. It was here when Kaya fully cut ties with Bolas, turning sides to fight against him. Kaya managed to convince the Orzhov Syndicate to join the fight after initial reluctance. One of her main tasks was rallying the other guilds to join the fight that were initially neutral. She succeeded in recruiting the Selesnya, Gruul, Golgari, and Rakdos to j▨oin the ൲cause through negotiation and persuasion.
Thanks to Kaya's work on bringing in the other guilds and acting as the Orzhov representative, the Planeswalker Nissa Revane was able to perform a ritual to repair the leylines that gave power to the Living Guildpact that allowed the revival of Niv-Mizzet.
Kaya survived the War Of The Spark and decided to join the Gatewatch to atone for her working with Bolas previously. In Kaya's oath, she proclaimed, "so everyone gets what they truly deserve, I will keep watch."
Helping Innistrad
The Planeswalker Arlinn Kord sought out the Gatewatch to ask the Gatewatch to assist in finding the Moonsilver Key and save Innistrad from falling into eternal night. They agree, and Kaya, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:along with fellow Gatewatch members Teferi and Chandra, travel to Innistrad with Arlinn.
They arrive in the city of Thraben, where Kaya scouted alone to search for clues, succeeding by finding a book that said the key would be with the Betzold family. This led them to travel to the Betzold family mansion, where the spirit of Dennick Betzold gave them the information they needed, directing them to Sorin Markov. Sorin refused to hand the key over and attacked Arlinn upon the mention of his creation Avacyn who he previously had to slay. The angel Sigarda arrived to assist the P🎃laneswalkers, allowing thไem to gain the Moonsilver Key.
During the Harvesttide Festival, the ritual to repair the day and night cycle of Innistrad began at the Celestus. Kaya guarded the witches of the Plane as they performed the ritual from the werewolves that had begun attacking. However, before the ritual was completed, the vampire Olivia Voldaren suddenly appeared and stopped the ritual, taking the Moonsilver Key and fleeing, causing eternal night to befall Innistrad.
The Planeswalkers all help humans throughout Innistrad, now in danger from the vampires, zombies, and werewolves that were roaming free. Sorin joined the group to assist them after Olivia kidnaps his grandfather Edgar Markov. All of them travel to the Voldaren manor, but only Sorin was allowed entrance. The other Planeswalkers were prevented fꦍrom entering due to wards on the manor. However, Sor๊in was able to take the Moonsilver Key back from Olivia, allowing the angel Sigarda to break the wards and allow the Planeswalkers inside.
Kaya freed the spirits that were being held, who assisted in the fight against the vampires, while Teferi and Chandra burned down the doors. The Gatewatch was successful in taking back the key and completing the ritual at the Celestus, returning Innistrad's normal day and night cycle to the Plane.
Fighting New Phyerxia
Kaya was hired by the Planeswalker Tezzeret (though Kaya was not aware of his identity) to kill a monster that had appeared on the Plane Kaldheim. This monster was the green Preator of New Phyrexia Vorinclex. Kaya partnered with Igna Rune-Eyes to attack Vorinclex, ambushing him but was overpowered, though saved by Alrund, one of the Gods of Kaldheim.
Kaya traveled to Gnottvold where she encountered the trickster Planeswalker Tibalt disguised as the God Valki. Kaya was attacked by trolls as Tibalt fleed, and Kaya was saved by the elf Planeswalker Tyvar Kell. They gave chase to Tibalt to Immersturm, though were attacked by demons which allowed Tibalt to create a Doomskar, an event that would brinꦛg chaos to Kaldheim. Kaya, though defeated, would be encouraged by Tyvar Kell to keep the fight going.
The God Alrund advised the group to take the Sword of the Realms to the God of Battle Halvar 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:so that he would end the Doomskar. While traveling, they were attacked by the demon Varragoth who was after the sword for himself. Kaya and Tyvar Kell separated, and Kaya was attacked by Varragoth but saved by the God Cosima. This only d✤elayed the demon but allowed Kaya to🐬 flee.
In a large-scale fight, Tyvar Kell returned with the elves to fight off the demons and zombies. During the battle, Kaya had briefly crossed paths with the Planeswalker Niko Aris, and the two had both saved each other during the fight. It was here Kaya managed to slay Varragoth, leading to the end of the Doomskar upon the conclusion of the battle. Tyvar Kell tells Ka🍸ya after the Doomskar ends that he is ready to travel the Multiverse and help oth𝐆ers.
After the Phyrexian invasion on Dominaria, Kaya arrives to assist Teferi 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and fellow Planeswalker Saheeli in finding out how to activate the Sylex, a device capable of eradicating the Phyrexians. While Teferi could not travel to the past safely, Kaya was able to send his spirit to the past in order to ensure his physical body was safe and that he would be unable to accidentally interfere with the events of the past. While Teferi was able to learn about how the Sylex functioned, the Temporal Anchor that allowed the time travel exploded and left Teferi's physical body unconscious. However, Kaya had heard what Teferi had discovered and is the only one conscious of the information.
