Every Final Fantasy mainline game was a part of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering's Universes Beyond crossover se🉐t (games 1-16). As with most Universes Beyond crossovers, the number of named characters represented is much higher than the average set. 6, 7, 10, and 14 have the highest representation (thanks to also having dedicated Commander decks), with other games behind them.

Shock in these pricey shocklands in your next Magic: The G💯atheri🐭ng deck.

With 16 games to go over and a limited number of spaces in the set, there were always going to be characters who wouldn't make the cut. That being said, there are some surprising omissions from the Final Fantasy𒅌 set from various games.

10 ♌ Carbuncle (Various)

The Support Summon

Carbuncle sitting in Final Fantasy 15.

Carbuncle has been a part of Final Fantasy since Final Fantasy 𒊎5 (technically since 3, where it's a traditional enemy with a drastically different design). Since 5, it's been a part of nearly every Final Fantasy as the go-to support summon.

With how frequently Carbuncle appears, it's one of the most surprising omissions when it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:comes to summon representation. Carbuncle is one of the c🌞utest su🌸mmons in the series, and would have been great to have some Carbuncle love in the set as a proper creature card.

9 ▨ Palom And Porom (Final Fantasy 4)ꦓ

The Twins

Final Fantasy IV Palom and Porom using twincast.

Palom and Porom are a pair of twins who show up to help the protagonist Cecil during his journey to become a Paladin. They help the party escape later in an iconic scene where they petrify themselves to prevent walls from closing in on the par𒅌ty.

While Palom and Porom aren't in the game for too long, their brief screen time is very memorable and one of the best pairs of twins across Final Fantasy. While their magic was given 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a card in a Secret Lair, the characters don't make a prope꧟r appearance as a card.

8 Basch (ಞFinal Fantasy 12)

The Not-Protagonist Protagonist

Final Fantasy XII Basch in the dungeon.

Basch lives! Don't listen to ♒Ondore's lies. While Captain Basch Fon Ronsenburg of Dalmasca's "doppelganger" Vaan gets a card, the actual Basch is nowhere to be found. Basch wasn't the main protagonist (Vaan is, who is hardly story-relevant) and is second only to Ashe when it comes to how importantඣ the character is to the plot of Final Fantasy 12.

Here are the most 𝕴valuable Dark Ritual 🐼cards in Magic: The Gathering!

With how important Basch is to the plot of Final Fantasy XII, it's very surp♏rising that he makes zero appearances in the set. While some characters that didn't get a card at least appear in the artwork of a card, Basch didn't even get this.

7 Cindy (Final Fant🐼asy 15) 👍

The Honorary Cid

Final Fantasy XV Cindy at the workshop.

Cindy may not have been the most important character in Final Fantasy 15, but with every other Cid in the set, we are missing everyone's favorite ho♎norary Cid. Cindy is one of the first characters you meet in Final Fantasy 15 and helps repair the Regalia (which is essentially the fifth party member for the Chocobros).

The Final Fantasy 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:set has a lot of Vehicles, with multiple cards supporting that card type. Cindy would have mad🌼e a great addition to the Vehicle support lineup, being a well-versed mechanic to stay on theme.

6 🐓 Laguna (Final Fantasy 8)

The Flashback King

Final Fantasy VIII Laguna in the field.

Laguna is one of the more notable omissions from Final Fantasy 8, being the one responsible for coming up with the plan to stop the game's main antagonist. Over the course of the game, the main party constantly has 𒆙flashback sequences where they live out sections ꦓof Laguna's past before finally meeting him in the climax.

While the Laguna dream sequences themselves got representation on🥃 a card, it's the closest we got to Laguna representation. Given how important Laguna💎 was to the plot of Final Fantasy 8, a proper card appearance felt deserved.

5 Galuf And🍬 Krile (Final Fantasy 5)

Grandfather And Daughter

Final Fantasy V Krile and Galuf meeting each other again.

Galuf and Krile are two of the party members of Final Fantasy 5, with Krile replacing Galuf later in the game with all of his st🌞ats and progress in various Jobs. This mechanic was represented in the card Galuf's Final Act (which does depict one of the best moments of the game), but that's ไthe extent of the representation of the two.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:A transforming card where Galuf flips into Krile would have been amazing flavor and show off one of the memorable moments in Final Fantasy 5. Unfortunately, it didn't work out like that, with neithe🍨r of them getting a proper legendary card in the set.

4 𝓡 Eiko (Final Fantasy 9)

The Little Summoner

Final Fantasy IX Eiko closeup.

Eiko is one of the two summoners you can have in your party, along with Garnet, with the two sharing multiple scenes coming to turns with their summoner background. She is rather important to the story of Final Fantasy 9, making it extra surprising༒ she didn't get a card.

The closest thing the✃re is to an Eiko card is Sleep Magic, where Eiko is shown under the effect of the spell along with hℱer moogle. That's all Eiko gets, though, and she deserved so much more in the set.

3 🥂 Selphie (Fina𓃲l Fantasy 8)

The Party's Second Leader

Final Fantasy VIII Selphie's victory close-up.

Selphie is one of the only characters in Final Fantasy 8 who leads a party outside of the 👍main protagonist, Squall. She goes through a ton over the course of the game, and even acts as one of its main pilots once you start flying around.

How much is your sad robot worth?

The character is arguably third in line when it comes to the importa🎉nce of plot-relevance with the main party. Most of the party members in Final Fantasy VIII were represented with a card, while Selphie only appears on Memories Returning alongside Sq👍uall when she absolutely deserved her own card.

2 ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Faris (Final Fantasy 5)

The Disguised Pirate

Final Fantasy V Faris fending pirates.
Faris by Yu Cheng Hong

Faris is one of the main party members of Final Fantasy 5, starting the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:game off as a pirate before joining the main party as one of the heroes and leaving her pirating days behind. As with all the Final Fan😼tasy 5 characters, she goes through a large amount of growth, going from scoundrel to hero.

Final Fantasy 5 is one of the least represented games in the set, with only Final Fantasy 1 having fewer named character representations. Faris didn't make the cut, and all she got was an appearance holding the Coral Sword instead of a named card li💛ke she deserved.

1 Lunafreya (Fin💃al Fantasyꦐ 15)

The Oracle

Final Fantasy XV Lunafreya talking to Leviathan.

Lady Lunafreya is the main female character of Final Fantasy 15, acting as the Oracle who can communicate with the gods (Final Fantasy 15's summons). While she doesn't have a large ꦆamount of screen time, Lunafreya's impact on the plot is not to be understated (even more so in extended material).

The main party (including the Regalia), along with the main villain Ardyn, all appear, with Lunafreya being the only major character that doesn't get representation. Lunafreya does appear alongside Noctis 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:on the bonus sheet card Blessing of the Oracle, but with how important she is to Final Fantasꦇy 15, she deserved t🐓o actually appear in the set.
