Zendikar Rising is going to change the way you can collect Magic: The Gathering cards but in a good way. Probably.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing, with the normally vibrant convention being held by livestream due to coronavirus. Because it's 2020 and all goo𒊎d things have come to a sudden and tragic end that's being broadcast on Twitch for us all to weep at.
But one thing that hasn't ended is Magic. Lead designer Mark Rosewater put on a presentation yesterday that reveals the future of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering and t🌼hat future will fundamentally change the way you collect cards♏.
Zendikar Rising will𓆉 arrive in September and with it will come a whole new set of booste💝r packs. Rosewater revealed the three existing types of booster packs, including Draft, Collector, and Theme packs, and then the fourth type of pack called Set Boosters.
Draft Boosters are probably the kind of 15-card packs you're most familiar with: they'll contain 1 rare, 3 uncommons, 10 commons, and one land or token. They're designed to be used i🌠n Sealed Deck 𝔉of Draft formats so they'll have a good mix of cards to draw from.
Set Boosters are different. They have 14 instead of 15 cards, and the mix of rare, uncommon, and common cards has been switched up a bit so that they're more "fun to open." Of those 14 cards, 12 will be your usual Magic cards, one will be an art card, and the 14th card will either be a token, a promotional ad, or a card from The L𝄹ist.
The List is a new addition to Magic sets starting in Zendikar Rising. It's a list of 300 cards from previous Magic sets that have been carefully chosen to showcase fun mechanics from Magic's past. So far, we only know three cards that are on the list: Cloudgoat Ranger, Pact of Negation, and Muscle Sliver. The remaining 297 card🌠s on The List will be revealed at a later date.
Zendikar Rising arrives on September 17 on Magic Arena and on September 25 in paper format.
