168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pac-Man hit its 40th anniversary this month. The arcade game needs no formal introduction. One would be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn't played at least one round of trying to eat all the dots. Pac-Man wasn't the first video game, but it was a major part of the first big boom for the industry. Pac-Man remains popular today and has received a number of sequels and spinoffs. Pac-Man as a character has gone from looking like𝕴 a third of a pizza, to full-fledged 3D character.
Sadly, Pac-Man's 40th anniversary has been lackꩵluster💧 so far. The only new game announced is for Twitch. If there's one thing Bandai Namco should do for its most popular character, it's to bring back the Pac-Man World series.
What Is Pac-Man World?
In 1999, Namco released Pac-Man World for the PlayStation. This was the Super Mario 64 of Pac-Man; the game brought the yellow character to the realm of 3D platforming. Unlike Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Sonic Adventure, Pac-Man World doesn't seem t🧸o be brought up much today. It's a shame because it did a fantastic job making Pac-Man a 3D platformer 🎐character.
Pac-Man World has challenging platforming, a nice variety of levels, and diverse boss battles. Longtime players likely still remember the agonizing Anubis Rex boss. As seen in the first game, there are sections mimicking the original arcade game, where Pac-Man chomps the dots and ghosts. This alone differentiates it from other 3D platformers. Pac-Man World 2 also featured quality levels and platforming.
The third Pac-Man World is the weakest in the series. The levels did not feel as diverse or fun to play through as the first two games. Also, the villain felt like a weaker version of Crash Bandicoot's Neo Cortex. Overall, though, the Pac-Man World series is a blast, and worthy of a revival.
Bring Back The Pac Family
In 2013, Bandai Namco released Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. The game received a sequel the following year. Like Pac-Man World, these games are 3D platformers. However, Ghostly Adventures is a reboot of the series, taking Pac-Man in a different direction. He is far younger here, and the new continu🔯ity gets rid of Ms. Pac-Man, along with the rest of the Pac family. Bandai Namco apparently wanted to do something dif💖ferent for Pac-Man, but this did not prove to be favorable.
Pac-Man, as established early in his career, is a family man. Bandai Namco has steered away from this. For a fun fact, Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai said in 2015 (via ) he felt Pac-Man's older design was better than the Ghostly Adventures look.
In Pac-Man World, the story opens with the protagonist's entire family being abducted. This creates a sense of tension, but it's still a whimsical adventure. That's what Namco managed t൲o accomplish; a fun, engaging tale with a likable family man hero. The villains in the first two games also had a fun, menacing persona. No one is going to forget Toc-Man's game over screen, or the showdown against Spooky.
It's Time For Pac-Man World 4
Pac-Man World was given the title of "20th anniversary." What better way to celebrate the franchise's 40th anniversary than with Pac-Man World 4? The three games should also get the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy treatment for modern consoles. Simply put, Pac-Man World is ready for a comeback.
