Nintendo has added N64 co🔴ntroller support for the version of Super Mario 64 included in 3D All-Stars on 🀅Switch.

Nintendo expanded its NSO libraries last month by launching its Expansion Pack. Those of you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:willing to pay the extra for it can now play a selection of N64 and Sega Genesis games on top of the NES and SNES games available with a base NSO subscription. You can also buy 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:wireless N64 and Genesis controllers for an additional hit of nostalgia.

The controllers can only be used with the corresponding NSO games, of course.༺ Trying to play Pokemon Shield with an N64 controller might sound funny, but it would get pretty old very fast if Nintendo allowed you to do it. Playing Super Mario 64, on the other hand, arguably needs an N64 controller if playing it is ever going to be a fully authentic experience.

Super Mario 64

here's some good news on that front in the form of an update to Super Mario 3D All-Stars. That game's version of Super Mario 64 now supports the Switch's new wireless N64 controller. It comes a year after a previous update allowing you to use GameCube controllers to play the collection's remastered version of Super Mario Sunshine.

Before you rush to the Nintendo eShop to buy a fancy new N64 controller, we have a little bit of bad news. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:They're completely sold out and will not be back in stock until 2022. If you were holding out on buying one as a Christmas gift for your favorite Switch owner, well, you have officially left it too late. Wireless Genesis controllers are still available, but they're not going to help you play Super Mario 64. Not via the expansion pack or Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

The collection of slightly remastered games stirred up quite a lot of controversy when they were on sale this time last year. All-Stars launched in celebration of Mario's 35th anniversary. However, Nintendo removed the game from sale at the end of March 2021, possibly never to return. Many slammed Nintendo's decision to only sell the collection for a limited time. The tactic worked though. All-Stars sold more than nine million copies in just six months.
