Like so many others in the multiplayer Mario spin-off empire, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario Kart 8 can really bring out the worst in you, especially when you're playing with people you know. Cutesy designs can't stop the teeth from coming out nor quell that competitive spirit ringing inside many of us. If it means a win, we'll throw as many red shells as it takes. No one is safe when you get a game of multiplayer Mario Kart going.
Racing can be chaotic enough, especially when you crank up the speed, but then there's battle mode. Minigames pit you against your friends, CPUs, or perhaps online players and directly encourage you to cause as much carnage as possible. Mario Kart isn't shy about letting you fight dirty in a race, but battle mode is nothing but sheer chaos. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:There are no friends in Mario Kart, and in battle mode, there's nothing but enemies. Pray you keep your friendships by the time the clock runs out.
5 🌃 Renegade Round-Up 𓆏
This mode indeed has its fans, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really shine. While the execution of piranha plants as police cars, complete with little lights and sirens, is kind of adorable, the mode itself leaves much to be desired. While there are coins both teams collect as they dart through the map, the coins don't factor into anything. Instead, Renegade Round Up is a long game of tag. Depending on your team composition, it can drag on or end in less than a blink. Either way, it's unsatisfying.
It would be much more fun if the robbers were meant to collect all the coins before the time ran out, and failure to do so would result in a loss, even if some team members were still driving around. The unrealized potential oozes out of this mode. Hopefully, they will have perfected it whenever the next Mario Kart 🐷rolls around. Un💦til then, try to make the most of it.
4 🧸 ꦦ Balloon Battle
Balloon Battle is a classic. If you're old enough, you probably have a few fond memories of being huddled around a humming tube TV with a friend, Nintendo 64 (or, if you're even older, SNES) controller in hand, chucking shells with reckless abandon. Then, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:keeping your eyes on the split screen, waiting for theꦓ moment your projectiles connected, leading your friend to curse 🐷the very ground you sat on.
Balloon Battle is always enjoyable if a little basic. Luckily, Mario Kart allows you to steal other people's balloons through the well-timed use of a mushroom or feather. There's something so satisfying about stealing other players' balloons, thereby giving yourself an edge to victory. Of course, your friends might hate you for it. But, hey, no one said Mario Kart was fair.
3 Coin🐠 Runners
Who among us doesn't love watching numbers go up? In Coin Runners, a set amount of coins will be distributed over the map. The goal is to collect as many as possible before the timer runs out. Hitting your fellow players will make them drop whatever cash they've got stacked on their heads. Suppose no one can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:grab the newly freed coins. In that case, they will eventually reappear in their original locations, ripe for the picking𒁃. A legitimate strategy is to circle the track, a vulture for those beautiful, shiny gold coins.
Even then, you may see your win snatched from your fingers even if you play it safe. You can coast through the course, coins stacked up to the sky, only seconds until the timer buzzes, only for someone's well-aimed and well-timed boomerang to hit you, knocking the crown from your head and the coins from your grasp. So be ready to dodge and weave around obstacles or face the horror of Metal Mario disrupting your imminent victory.
2 Sh♏ine Thief
Shine Thief is pretty simple when you get down to it. There is a singular Shine, which 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you may recognizeꦡ from Super Ma💎rio Sunshine, and the objective is to possess it for an overall total of twenty seconds until your counter runs out. The idea is streamlined and easy to understand, though it is deceptively more ch𒁃allenging than it seems.
Shine Thief is great because it requires more than just throwing things and hoping they connect. You have to consider where the Shine will fall, whether you will be speedy enough to grab it before anyone else, and whether you'll be able to escape. It also has the potential to be the longest or shortest minigame, depending on the skills of everyone playing. Since it's 11 vs. one, though, Shine Thief can also be the thing that temporarily ruins your relationship with whoever you're playing with, especially if they're the person holding the Shine. Even idyllic Wuhu Town can't ease that betrayal.
1 Bob-omb Blas൲t
Do you want a little chaos in your life? You came to the right place. The cousin to Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, forgoes every item except bombs. With only the most destructive item at your disposal, Bob-omb Blast is a frantic frenzy of explosions and high-speed thrills. It's almost impossible to avoid a hit. Or two. Or, you know, five.
What makes this mode so entertaining is how unpredictable it can be - in Balloon Battle, you can maneuver around certain obstacles or steal other people's balloons. In Bob-omb Blast, all you have is bombs. There is no choice but mutually assured destruction. Then, in the last minute of the match, some of the item squares become doubled, meaning you will have even more bombs to rain down on your opponents for maximum chaos. Yelling "oh no!" has never been so fun.
