The second tour of 2020 has officially landed in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario Kart Tour and we have been fervently playing away in an attempt to discover💯 everything new that comes with it. The tour is called the Ice Tour, since there are no major holidays to celebrate for the next two weeks, and went live at 10 PM PT on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. It will run for two weeks, just like every other tour, comin♚g to an end at 9:59 PM PT on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.
Penguin Luigi Is Here!
Now. for what we're all here for: what's new? The Ice Tour brings with it three brand new characters, two of which were teased by Nintendo a few days before the new tour launched. Hardened Mario fans will have been able to guess those two new additions. One is Peach dressed in a black coat, presumably to protect herself from the cold weather ushered in by the Ice Tour. Gamers might recognize this version of Peach from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Odyssey.
The second teased character is Penguin Luigi. Cast your minds back to the release of Tour and Luigi was nowhere to be seen. Now, we have a version of him wearing a penguin suit? Good work, Nintendo. Penguin Suit Luigi is joined by an icy form of his brother, Mario. Penguin Luigi and Wintertime Peach are available via the store, while Ice Mario ca♋n be bought as p𝔉art of the usual pack.
With a new tour and new characters come new karts and gliders. Players of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will recognize the P-Wing and Glided Prancer karts. The Ice-Blue Poltergust, which sort of looks like a vacuum cleaner, and Blue Seven also joins the kart ranks. Glider-wise, the Gold Swooper and Blizzard Parasol are now available in-game, but our favorite new glider is the Blizzard Balloons. It's just like the double cloud glider already added to Tour, but with a shiny new makeover.
Mario Kart's "Most Broken" Track
All of that and we still haven't gotten to the most exciting part: the new track. This tour, it isn't just a different version of a course we have already seen -- it's an addition from Mario Kart's rich back catalog: Frappe Snowland from the Nintendo 64. For those unfamiliar with the track, it's commonly known among MK fans as the "most broken" track in the franchise's history. It earned that moniker due to a glitch/shortcut that allowed racers to complete a lap in ten seconds. Unfortunately, it seems as if the glitch hasn't made it onto m🔴obile.
New Challenges
Last but not least, some of the more unique challenges players have been tasked with completing over the course of the next two weeks. "Take out 5 sidesteppers" and "Land 30 hits with Bananas using a driver wear🎃ing a tie" are just a couple of the Ice Tour challenges some players might need a hand completing.
Stay tuned to TheGamer over the next few days for handy hints and tip𝄹s with those, and for everything else you need yo know about the Ice Tour.
