Announced on Mario Kart Tour's official Twitter account this past weekend, the currently-running Cooking Tour will be replaced with the Peach Tour, which will kick off on June 16 at 11 PM Pacific Standard Time. In honor of the announcement, the official Twitter account tweeted a picture of a legendary and fan-favorite Mario Kart course that will be featured in the tour - the Royal Raceway track from Mario Kart 64!
The Royal Raceway (alternate name "Peach Circuit" ) track was first seen in the Star Cup of Mario Kart 64. It was updated and remastered and later added to the most recent Mario Kart titles - Mario Kart 8 for the Wii and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. The track goes around the Mushroom Castle, also known as Peach's Castle, and features green hills, colorful hot air balloons, and a huge lake. Mario Kart Tour's Royal Raceway track will appear similar to how it appears in Mario Kart 8 and 8 Deluxe.
Fans' reactions to Nintendo's announcement have been predominantly positive, as many people are excited to see the return of older retro courses to the latest Mario Kart title. Even though Mario Kart Tour has launched its fair share of new, nev🌃er-before-seen tracks, it's always nice to see a fan-favorite trac♛k on the popular mobile game.
The "Peach Tour" will be the twentieth tour of Mario Kart Tour and will mark the fourth time Mario Kart Tour has featured a tour n﷽amed directly after a character (e.g. "Mario Bros. Tour", "Baby Rosali♓na Tour", and "Yoshi Tour").
Mario Kart Tour is a free-to-play mobile game from Nintendo that was released back in September 2019. It is the fourteenth title in the Mario Kart franchise and marks the first time the 𓆉game has ever come t❀o mobile devices.
Mario Kart Tour is currently available as a free-to-download app for i🧸OS and Android devices. The Peach Tour will begin this week, on June 16. It will last until Ju๊ne 30, 2020.
