Nintendo and Illumination have officially revealed the cast for their upcoming animated Mario movie. Set to release on December 21, 2022, Chris Pratt will be playing the role of Mario💫, while Anya Taylor-Joy will portray Princess Peach.

Other cast members include Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey𒉰 Kong, and Ja൩ck Black as Bowser. The entire cast list is about as star-studded as its gets, with high-profile names found all the way down to the lesser-known Cranky Kong – who is played by Fred Armisen.

No doubt some of the choices are controversial, but there's no denying your average theatergoer will be immediately intrigued by the list of high-profile names.

The Mario movie is slated for a 🍸Holiday 2022 release.
