Nintendo, for a good chunk of their history, have kept their properties close to their chest. They do, and have, reached out to other developers for help, but it is not as often as they maybe should. That is all to say there are other studios out there who could make some great games in the Mario franchise alone.

These ten entries will go through main series and spinoffs. along with electing the best possible teams for the job. One notable exclusion from the list is Mario Kart. No one can do a🍎 better kart racer than Nintendo so there was no poi💝nt in offering that up.

10 2D Mario: Mor Games

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Flashback is a fan game made by just a handful of developers under the name of Mor Games. Can fans fully support a big project like this? Well, if Nintendo pays them the money𒆙 they need, then this project will assuredly increase in dedication. As it stands just from the demo, these fans seem very passion📖ate about Mario. The animation and personality in the sprite work is exactly what this franchise needs right now.

9 3D Mario: Insomniac

Yes, Insomniac was bought by Sony, but that doesn’t mean this wish is totally out of the question. If Microsoft can partner up with Nintendo then why can’t Sony? Out of all three platform holders, and out of every big AAA developer on the market, no one comes as close to Nintendo as Insomniac. They bring an inventiveness to the table when it comes to their platform series, Ratchet and Clank. Mario g🌃etting that sort of ꧅treatment sounds like a dream.

8 Mario And Luigi: Square Enix

The very first RPG Mario starred in was on the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Nintendo and it was developed by Square, prior to their merger. After Square sided with Sony to make game🧜s for the PS1, Nintendo had to continue the Mario RPG train on their own. Suffice it to say, both companies are now on good terms with each other so it’s 🤪more than time for Square Enix to get another crack at the series.

7 Captain Toad: NIS

Captain Toad had a mini game in Super Mario 3D World along with ꦚgetting his own puzzle game. What if instead of a puzzle sequel, Captain Toad controlled an army of Toads to defend the Mushroom Kingdom?

It could turn into a strategy RPG like Final Fantasy Tactics, or in this case, Disgaea. That’s NIS’ biggest series. Their oddities may be better suited for something involving Wario, but Captain Toad ꧂is right up their alley. Give them a shot, Nintendo.

6 Paper Mario: Ubisoft

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was a good strategy game and while a sequel might be nice, Ubisoft should instead attempt another RPG sequel. Their UbiArt engine that they’ve used for Rayman games (along with smaller titles like Child of Light) would make for a gorgeous look Paper Mario game. Yes, a new one is🧸 right around the corner, but 🧸there’s no harm in planning for the future.

5 Luigi's Mansion: Capcom

The very first Luigi’s Mansion was a clear rip-off of Resident Evil. It’s right in the name. It involved ghosts instead of zombies and was aimed more at kids. Capcom shouldn’t make this a gritty game like Resident Evil or anything like that. However, since Nintendo modeled this series after RE, wouldn’t it be fair to then have Capcom take a crack at it? T🍬hey did help develop 🃏the arcade game after all.

4 Super Princess Peach: Konjak

Joakim "Konjak" Sandberg is the founder and main developer at his studio, Konjak. In 2014 he tweeted out a concept picture, above, for a 2D brawler/platformer starring Daisy, along with his wishes to make it. This could easily turn into a sequel for Super Princess Peach. As of right now, that game never left the DS nor did it get a sequel. It is fairly underra🐽te♐d.

3 Wario Land: D-Pad Studio

Another indie developer that tweeted out some fan art in 2014 was from D-Pad Studio. Their only game, as of now, is Owlboy.

This picture alone looks like a good direction for Wario Land as there hasn’t been a new entry since Wario Land: Shake It in 2008. As a side note, D-Pad Studio put out a mock trailer for a Chrono Trigger sequel in 2018, Chrono Break, which sounds better than a new Wario Land admittedly.

2 Mario Party: Jackbox Games

Mario Party is getting pretty old at this point. It can be fun with friends but it all boils down to Monopoly at some point. Well, a party game developer that i🍸s known for innovation in this space is Jackbox Games. They are, without a doubt, the right team for the job. Just being able to use phones alone would be a big leap forward.

1 Mario Pinball: Zen Studios

Super Mario Ball for the Game Boy Advance is not the best pinball game Nintendo ever made. The Pokémon spin offs as well as Metroid’s were reviewed better. That said, Mario deserves another shot. It’s been quite some time since 𒁃Nintendo put out an official pinball game, so Zen Studios would be a perfect developer for it. Their digital pinball𓆏 tables are legendary.
