168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel's Avengers was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:delisted yesterday, just three years after its release. While an end to the live service's events and roadmap was hardly surprising, the decision to remove it from storefronts entirely is quite dramatic and signals a huge failure in strategy. How does one of the biggest media properties on the planet drop the ball like this?
Well, according to well-known comic book scooper CanWeGetSomeToast, Marvel is very much aware that its games aren't reaching their "potential", and has plans to address this. According to the leaker, the upcoming 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Black Panther and Iron Man games are part of Marvel's new strategy, hoping to turn its gaming fortunes around after commercial flops like Marvel's Avengers, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Midnight Suns, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Guardians of the Galaxy.

If You Lꦅove Baldur’s Gate 3, Check Out Marvel’s Midnight 💟Suns
Baldur's Gate 3 isn't the only great tactical RPG with a focus on character relationships rel✤eased in the last year.
"Marvel is PAINFULLY aware of how their video games division hasn’t been reaching its potential overall," says CanWeGetSomeToast, in response to a fan highlighting the recent failures in Marvel's gaming lineup.
"There have been whispers of an internal shift for Marvel to focus on games. The new EA Black Panther a༺nd Iron Man games will be the start of a push for something BIG."
Focussing on sole superheroes like this could be a winning move, as Marvel's big success - the Insomniac Spider-Man series - also takes this approach. Insomniac also has a Wolverine game in development, so Marvel certainly seems to be going all in on this new direction.
Frustratingly, this doesn't mean that Marvel's recent games haven't been critical successes. The Guardians of the Galaxy game was hugely popular with fans, particularly since it was a single-player game, learning from the mistakes of Marvel's Avengers. The same goes for Midnight Suns, widely met with positive reviews that just couldn't translate into high sales. So we certainly shouldn't expect Marvel's new strategy to include any follow-ups to these games, no matter how much we all enjoyed them.
At least Marvel has itself a guaranteed hit on the way, with Spider-Man 2 set to launch on October 20. It follows on from the success of the first game and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Unless something goes catastrophically wrong at launch, this will almost definitely perform well, with early previews already positive. We'll just have to see if it can stick the landing.
