While there are a ton of Marvel mobile games on the market, none seem to have the staying power of Marvel Puzzle Quest, which was first𓂃 released back in 2013. The game is still going strong years later, but it has seemingly abandoned introducing new characters for the lower one, two, and three-star tiers. Despite this, new players will still wonder who they ෴should prioritize getting on their roster as there will always be limited space (and some characters really deserve no place on your roster).

This list will focus mostly on one and two-star characters as th▨at is what most new players will receive, but we will also include a couple of three-star characters that players w🌊ho have been playing the game for five years or five minutes will want on their team.

10 🍎 Spider-Man (Original) 𝓀

Amazing Fantasy 15 Spider-Man

Also known as the only one-star character that advanced players keep on their roster, this 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:variation of Spider-Man is a rare character who can be built any way possible and still be effective. While all of his powers deal direct damage his red power "Web Swing" deals the most. His blue power "All Tied Up" deals damage and stuns the opponent while his purple power "Spectacular Strategy" deals damage and cre🍌ates Critical tiles.

It's his ability to make Critical tiles that makes him useful once you reach later stages of the game but even for new players, Spider-Man is a great choice.

9 🌸 Juggernaut (Classic) ⛦

Juggernaut Marvel Puzzle Quest

Possibly the most simple character in the entire game, classic Juggernaut hits things hard and shatters tiles. He only has two powers, but both are devastating in one-star land. His red "Headbutt" power may deal some damage to himself, but the staggering amount of damage dealt to the opponent makes it worth it. His green "U𝔍nstoppable Crash" power shatters a whole mess of tiles, just like the brutish villain would.

Nobody would a🅰ccuse Juggernaut of bein🌃g a complex character, but he is damn effective.

8 Storm (Modern) 𝓀

Modern Storm Marvel Puzzle Quest

Storm is a rare character in Marvel Puzzle Quest who has different versions across the one-star, two-star, three-star and five-star tiers, but all of them are effective. This version is a weaker variant of the later three star one, but Modern Storm is 🦋effective on her own.

Her Green power "Lightning Strike" not only shatters tiles, but generates AP for every tile shattered as well. Her Yellow power is her weakest as it's the same as her Green but only targeting Team-Up tiles and far fewer of them. Her Black power is much better as it creates a ton of Attack tiles on the board.

While she will never be the major damage deal🍸er on any team, her ability to fuel her their other powers makes Storm useful in any set up.

7 𓆉 Storm (Classic) ൩

Storm Classic Marvel Puzzle Quest

Storm's two-star variant may share some similar traits to her other forms, but she has some tricks up her sleeve that make her a dangerous weapon. Albeit a fragile one as her health pool is very small.

Her green "Lightning Storm" power is similar to her one and three-star Green powers, but 🦂this one will shatter more tiles and generate more AP depending on how much Green AP you have when you fire it. Her Blue power "Wind Storm" not only stuns the target, but also deals damage to the entire enemy team. Her Yellow "Raging Tempest" power is hard to use effectively, but if your team takes a major hit, Storm will deal some damage back to the enemy team. Her ability to generate AP, deal damage to an entire team and st🌞un a target make Storm a solid addition to any roster.

6 Thor (Marvel NOW!) 𝐆 🐭

Marvel Puzzle Quest Thor Marvel Now

While h🐲is powers might be expensive, two-star Thor can be a one ꧑God wrecking crew if he gets the right AP to fuel his damaging attacks.

His Red and Yellow powers "Mjolnir's Might" and "Thunder Strike" respectively change tiles to Thor's colors and deal damage. In reality though, the major power you want is his Green "Call The Storm" which deals massive damage to a target and then deal significant damage to the other enemies on a team.

Thor can be slow but ✨once he gets going will make any enemy team nervous to face off against him.

5 Black Widow 🍃(Original) 🌄

Black Widow Original Marvel Puzzle Quest

Black Widow doesn't offer much in the way of damage-dealing powers, but if you're looking for a hero best suited to mess with an opponent, Black Widow is unparalleled for newer players.

Her Purple Power "Aggressive Recon" steals AP from the enemy team outright, whereas her Black Power "Espionage" will steal Purple, B🍬lack and Blue AP when Widow makes a match in those colors. Her Blue Power "Anti-Gravity Device" will make enemy Countdown tiles take longer to go off and heals her team. Widow needs a damage dealer on her team to be fully effective and her low health pool makes her fragile, but she is a great tool for beginner and advanced players alike.

4 🐼 Hawkeye (Mod▨ern)

Hawkeye Modern Marvel Puzzle Quest

Hawkeye is seen across all the star tiers in Marvel Puzzle Quest and while his two-star version is far fro🎶m his best one, he sti♛ll has one solid Red power and one incredible passive Purple power.

Hawkeye's Blue power "Electric Arrow" is an okay power that creates a Countdown which will stun the enemy and steal AP, but is generally too slow for what it does. Hawkeye's Red power "Blast Arrow" will also create a Countdown tile that deals damage to the enemy team but his Purple "Speed Volley" power is why you want him on your team. When a match five is made, this power will create a bunch of Countdown tiles that deal significant damage to a single target. Combine this power with characters that rearrange or change the color of tiles and Hawkeye will mow down enemies like a lawnmower wielded by a suburban father on a Sunday morning.

3 💖 Magneto (Marvel NOW!) ꦺ

Magneto-Marvel-Now-Marvel-Puzzle-Quest

Speaking of characters who can change the colors of tiles, the two-star version of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magneto can be slow but once he gathers enough AP, he will wreak tons of havo💦c on any enemies.

His Blue power "Iron Hammer" is a simple countdown tile that will shatter a ton of tiles on the board (when maxed out, it will shatter the entire boa🥀rd). His Red power "Magnetic Flux" works much the same, except that it deals damage on top of shattering tiles and unlike "Iron Hammer"ꦐ;, the shattered tiles will generate AP. His Purple "Polarity Shift" power is also fantastic as it will allow you to pick basic tiles to turn into Blue tiles and also randomly change a few tiles to Red. Of course, this makes him an ideal partner with two-star Hawkeye but in all honesty, Magneto is fantastic on most teams, especially with someone who can feed him AP like two-star Black Widow.

2 Doctor Strange (Stephen Strange) 🧸

Doctor Strange casting spells in the MCU

If it was possible to make a character have 13 levels of a power rather than having to divide 13 levels among three powers, the three-star Doctor Strange would be most players' first choice. That is all thanks to his Yellow passive power "Flames Of The Faltine" which will automatically damage the enemy every time anyone on the enemy team triggers a power. This means that when facing generic henchmen in story missions, they will often defeat themselves as they have very cheap powers and generate AP every turn.

Strange's Blue power "Crimson Bands Of Cyttorak" will not only stun an opponent for three turns, but also destroy AP in a color the player chooses and deal damage as long as the Countdown remains on the board. Strange's Purple power "Eye Of Agamotto" is easily his worst which is an expensive power that simply special enemy tiles and generates Purple power which doesn't make up for its initial high cost. Still, Strange is the first three-star character that new players should aim to get.

1 Thanos (Modern)ꦜ 𓂃

Thanos Marvel Puzzle Quest

Much like Doctor Strange, three-star Thanos is perfect for new and advanced players due to just how useful one of his passive powers is. In this case, we're talking about his Black "Court Death" power which will deal massive damage to the enemy team whenever an enemy is downed. While this also 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:deals a bit of damage to Thanos' allies, the speed at which you can cut down enemy te🤪ams is worth a bit of splasꦛhback damage.

Thanos' other powers are solid but not nearly as great as Black. His Purple "Infinite Power" will simply create a Countdown tile that increases Thanos' match damage and his Green "Come And Get Me!" power will create a Countdown tile that will deal massive damage to an enemy team, but will make sure Thanos remains at the front of his team as long as the tile is on the board. That's honestly fine as just as fans of the characters know, Thanos can take a ton of damage and as such, has a massive health pool.

While his Purple and Green powers are perfect🙈ly servꦉiceable, his Black one is the real reason why every player in the game will want Thanos on their roster.
