Hawkeye Overview

Hawkeye ability display screen in Marvel Rivals.

Hawkeye is a high-difficulty Duelist who relies on using his bow to shoot down enemies with one single hit. There's no doubt if you haven't been practicing aiming until now, it♓ is time you start doing it if yꦺou're planning to play Hawkeye.

The performance of this character is dependent on how well you can aim, as he can shoot down an♏y unit that isn't a Vanguard with one hit if you can land a fully charged shot at their head. However, in a game where everyone's jumping around and is highly mobile, it's hard to land headshots unless you've good aim.

You can always land body shots but then you'll need around two to three hits to take the enemies down which you could be doing with just one. Additionally, you can also deflect enemy projectiles, double jump to reach suitable vantage pointไs and use Hypersonic Arrow to knock down enemies from the sky.

You can also use your ultimate ability to trace enemy movements and shoot their afterimages to deal damage and knock them down. In short, Hawkeye is arguably one of the best DPS units in the game, but the sk꧑ill required to play him is quite high, and y🔴ou'll need a lot of practice to get good at him.

Tips And Tricks To Play Hawkeye

Hawkeye overview display screen in Marvel Rivals.

Hawkeye is all about aiming and the only way to play well is to be good at shooting down enemies with precision. However, there are other area🦩s that you can work on to make your lꦬife a little easier in the long run.

As Hawkeye, you should always focus on sticking in the backline. Never try to play upfront as you lack any form of escape and if enemies get too close to you, there's no running from that. You are at your best as this hero when you can shoot down enemies from a distance.

Use your Skyward Leap to set up a vantage point where you have access to your healers while you also have a clear sight of the enemy. Map knowledge will come in handy here as if you can set it up before a round begins, you'll be able to cause problems for your enemies and drive them away from objectiಌves.

Shooting at the head grants you a 9% ultimate charge while shooting at the body only grants you 5%. If you want to charge your ultimate𝔉 faster, you'll have to shoot in the head.

Always remember that for you, it's one shot and one kill, which means your targets should be healers and DPS units who will die from your Piercing Arrow. However, if you do hit tanks, make sure to focus on the head as you'll deal a lot of damage. Two shots in the𝔉 head and the tank will back away as they will be critically low🐭.

Once the enemies notice you, they will try to take you down. In such instances, reposition yourself and use your Ronin Slash ability to deflect incoming projectiles. Since you'll be pl🌌aying from the backline where you'll have access to healers, you won't be easy to kill🌸.

Repositioning is key to playing backline DPS units, especially Hawkeye. Never stay in one place and keep moving around to make it difficult for your enemies to pin you down. This is something that will improve with map knowledg🌠e as you learn the spots.

If enemies try to jump at you, it's time to use your close-range abilities namely Crescent Slash and Blast Arrow. You can use Crescent Slash to push enemies behind and Blast Arrow to deal damage to them over a close range. Unless you're super confident with your aim, don't try to ൩use Piercing Arrow when someone like Spider-Man or Psylocke is 𒈔diving you.

If there's a flying hero, you can use Hypersonic Arrow to knock them down. Additionally, if you time it right, you can s🌳top enemies in their tracks who might be trying to jump at you since you'll be slowing them down if you hit your ability.

Tips To Use Hawkeye's Ultimate

Hawkeye's ultimate is extremely valuable, and you shouldn't waste it on damaging tanks. Activate it as soon as you see a DPS or Healer in sight and start shooting their afterimages. Make sure to shoot fast as the Ultimate will run outꦗ, and you only have th🐭ree shots available to you.

However, those three shots can easily take down any character that isn't a Vanguard, which will provide a massive advantage for your team. If there's a Black Wꦯidow in your team, both of you can use it, which means you can take down multiple targets with ease.

While in normal cases, shooting in the head means 💖a kill as long as the target isn't a tank, when it comes to afterimages, shooting in the head doesn't lead to a kill. As such, you can shoot both in the head or the body of an afterimage, and it won't make a difference.

One of the best ways to use the ultimate is against flying enemies as they are hard to take down. However, their afterimages are stationary, and you can force someone like Iron Man or Storm to change their heroes as you can become a nuisance for them from the backline. As long as you're hitting your headshots, you🍌r ultimate should always be available to you.
