Many card games, and especially online-only card games, where the rules can simply be programmed and need not be written on cards thrive on having large, amazing card art. That holds true for the newest mobile card game to generate buzz, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel Snap.
Snap has a cool way of making card art even more interesting, with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Variant forms that are included as separate cards in your collection. These variants are usually more outlandish, and reference a specific time in the character's publication history. Despite the cool factor of Variants, some base cards just capture the vibe of the character better and thus feel more iconic.
10 Blade
Blade is a fan-favorite character who has gained💧 tons of popularity, mostly due to the iconic portrayal of the character by Wesley Snipes back in the 90s. Thankfully, the palpable badassery of the character has translated into the game.
While there are some Variants f♓or Blade tha💜t are far from bad, none capture the essence of the character as well as the base card. The one where Blade looks especially like Snipes holding a sword comes close, but the base art with the smoking gun takes the cake.
9 Dazzler
Dazzler is a rather unknown character, especially to the general public. However, she is quit🅰e the cool hero, with the neat ability t෴o turn sound vibrations into light energy.
She is a colorful personality, and is even a singer. Some of the Variant arts depict her as she's singing and listening to music with headphones on, and to be fair, these are great artworks with gorgeous coloring. The base card is just too good to pass up though, as Dazzler dons her costume and breaks through the card with colorful rays of light flying everywhere. A dazzling card for sure.
8 Death
Death is the embodiment of the concept of actual death in the Marvel Universe. She's usually depicted as a woman with some unearthly features, like pale skin and black lips. She's also quite an important character, having significant relationships with both Thanos and Deadpool, both of whom are iconic characters.
In the card game, the developers seem to have decided on giving 🀅Death a less dynamic and more ominous-looking pose. None of the Variants are really an improvement on the base concept. The pose at least feels creepy and powerful, with Death sitting on a throne of bones holding a skull.
7 Doctor Stranᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚge
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Doctor Strange is another character that significantly climbed peoples' favorite character rankings thanks to the MCU. Portrayed perfectly by Benedict Cumberbatch, it would have been a shame if his card art were not as great.
Doctor Strange has a few decent Variants, and the one with Alex Ross-like art with purple smoke rising out of his hand isꦦ especially nice. However, the base card depicts Strange with his iconic spell circles and hand pose, making it the perfect representation of the Sorcerer Supreme.
6 Patriot
Patriot, while not a household name in term෴s of popularity by any means, is slowly growin♏g into the spotlight. With a potential live-action portrayal spinning off from Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Patriot is sure to become beloved in the following years.
He is also one of the lynchpins of a rather strong deck in Marvel Snap, utilizing high-power cards with drawbacks. Patriot's Variants are unfortunately boring — the baby Variant may be adorable, but none are as dynamic and well-colored as the base form.
5 Medusa
Medusa is the queen of the Inhumans. 🍒She has the Bayonetta-like ability to control the movements of her hair and use it as a weapon. Medusa has not been adapted to live action in a way that the fans enjoyed, and thus has sort of been forgotten.
Luckily, in Marvel Snap, she's both a decent card and has some gorgeous art. Her long, flowing bright red hair is perfectly captured in the base card, taking up most of the space. The Variant with serpent hair is also decent, but does not come close to the base card.
4 Onslaught
Onslaught is an interesting character in the Marvel universe, being the amalgamation of Professor X and Magneto's consciousnesses. A menace in lore, Onslaught is also quite strong in Marvel Snap, being one of the main cards used in several meta decks.
Onslaught also has one of the most iconic and over-the-top looks in comic book history. Being a very 90s design full of spiky limbs and muscles, he's a more vicious-looking giant Magneto in many ways. The base card art captures this look of menace better than any of the Variants with a classic villain pose tying it all together.
3 ꦰ Juggernaut
Juggernaut is an curious character. While his portrayal in Deadpool 2, as well as the premise of the character and his powers, may make him seem dimensional, he's actually quite unique. He has an interesting connection to Professor X, is one of the strongest characters out there, and has an all-time iconic look.
The Variants for Juggernaut are unfortunately 🐼underwhelming, which he never should be. Luckily, his base form goes all 90s comic book art, with muscles over muscles and inhuman proportions. While cheesy and over the top, base Juggernaut looks just right.
2 ♍ The Punisher
The Punisher is one of the♋ more ꦗrealistic and ground-level heroes you can find in Marvel comics. His is a simple design when compared to other characters, being a muscular man wearing a skull motive and wielding guns.
The Variants are all cool, especially the cute baby Variant, but none are as representativ⛎e of the character as the base form. Yes, the sleeveless look with a weapon in each hand is over the top, but it fits The Punisher perfectly.
1 ꦓ Professor X 🅰
Professor X is without doubt one of the best Marvel characters out there. He's been portrayed on the big screen twice, both of which were great, and has been talked about a lot thanks to his cameo in Doctor Strange🅺 in the Multiverse of Madness.
Professor X actually has quite a lot of competition from Variants. His baby Variant is absolutely adorable, his pixelated look is cool, and the iconic look from the House of X storylin💖e with him floating in Cerebro is iconic. Despite all that, the base form with the classic psychic waves and the yellow chair is too hard to compete with.
