A retailer has backtracked on its claim that Spider-Man will be a PlayStation-exclusive playable character in Marvel's Avengers.

The AAA title has already received its fair share of criticism, though. However, the more information that's released, the more excited its potential players appear to become. Last week, it was revealed that Hawkeye will be the first of four DLC characters to join the core group of Avengers. Well, we say the first. A retailer in the UK appeared to have given the game away on that front. Its listing claimed that Spider-Man will be a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation-exclusive playable character. A shocking revelation on the one hand since 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Marvel's Spider-Man was developed by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Insomniac Games, but one that makes sense on the other since Sony owns the movie rights to Spidey. Nevertheless, Base, the retဣailer responsible for the listing, has since removed it and cl🙈aimed it was a mistake.
"The information was removed from our product page as it was not correct. We removed the information as soon as we found out that it was not correct," a Base spokesperson told . They also claimed the listing had been that way since Marvel's Avengers was first revealed at E3 2019. While that m꧑ight well be true, we find it hard to believe that no one would have noticed that mistake until this past weekend.
Despite what Base has to say, there is still a very real chance that the web-slinger is getting set to team up with the Avengers next month. There are references to Thor and co. in Marvel's Spider-Man, including Avengers Tower and Spidey commenting on how the Avengers are busy on the west coast. FYI, the events of A-Day, which marks the beginning of Marvel's Avengers' storyline, takes place in San Francisco.
