That reminder came in the form of an almost 30-minute long War Table earlier this week. So who is M.O.D.O.K. and what role will he play in Marvel's Avengers? M.O.D.O.K. is an employee of A🌸dvanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) who perform experiments on him to increase his intelligence. While the experiments work, they mutate M.O.D.O.K. in the process. Square Enix appears to have tweaked this origin story slightly as the trailer suggests M.O.D.O.K. is affected by the events of A-Day, which is what sends the Avengers into hiding.
However, some investigative work by Kamala Khan, or💃 Ms. Marvel, seems to uncover that M.O.D.O.K. and AIM were the ones behind the attack. In Marvel's Avengers, M.O.D.O.K. has made it his mission to eradicate the Earth of all superheroes, even if that includes destroying himself. We'd hazard to guess that it ultimately comes to that, although we can't see any of the other heroes falling by the wayside at his hand.
Marvel's Avengers has come under criticism from a lot of people, and has failed to generaꦡte the momentum Square Enix might have hoped for. However, it appears that the extra time the developers have put into the game may well have made all the difference. This week's War Table has generated a lot of buzz and showcased some exciting features. Plus, the reveal that the next War Table will unveil the game's first DLC hero is exciting news.
