Crystal Dynamics has revealed Marvel Avengers, including all of the free DLC added to the game so far, is c꧂oming to Xbox ♈Game Pass later this week.
More than one year after what was an incredibly rocky launch for Marvel's Avengers, and the live service superhero game continues to power on and stick around. The next step for Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' joint venture was announced today as it was revealed the game, along with all of its free DLC, will be added to Xbox Game Pass this Thursday.
“Today we’re excited to announce that we’re making the complete Marvel’s Avengers experienܫce, including all previously released free content, available with Xbox Game Pass for PC, Console, and Cloud on September 30,” Crystal Dynamics community coordinator revealed in a blog post on the . That includes the most recent story DLC expansion, War For Wakanda.
The only note is that the Game Pass version of Marvel's Avengers will not include the eight cosmetic items included with the digital-only Endgame edition of the game. Everything else is there, which means Game Pass subscribers who haven't played the game at all will be able to experience the entire campaign from the beginning of A-Day all the way up until Black Panther joins the Avengers in the latest DLC.
What isn't mentioned is how long Avengers will be sticking around on Game Pass, and whether any future story DLC will be available on day one if it is a permanent addition to the service. That's not something subscribers will need to worry about until at least 2022. 🐼The only story DLC coming to Avengers be⭕fore the end of this year is Spider-Man, and the web-slinger has long been confirmed to be a PlayStation exclusive characterꦆ.
Speaking of Spidey, even though Avengers players are yet to see what the hero will look like in-game, it has been confirmed that his inclusion will be more than just a playabale character with no backstory. Square's Spider-Man will have his own story and cutscenes when he is eventua🦩lly ad🍃ded later this year.
