Marvel fans are already familiar with two major superhero factions in the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy because of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now it’s time to learn about a third one: the Midnight Sons. In Firaxis Game's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Midnight Suns, this team is comprised of a plethora of demon-killing, monster–hunting badasses who aren’t afraid of the creeping crawlies that reside in the dark. And the worst person for✃ the Midnight Sons to find in the dark is Lilith, the Mother of Demons.
For all intents and purposes, Lilith in the Marvel universe is largely based on the Biblical depiction of her. She🥂’s a fallen angel who manipulated and seduced influential men to rule kingdoms and create her own hellish army. Although she’s arguably the most powerful foe the Midnight Sons have ever faced, they’ve been able to repel her vicious attacks. Let’s dive into the depths of Hell and learn more about Lilith and how dangerous she can be.
Lilith’s Origins
Lilith is an ancient being and her true origin remains shrouded in mystery. There are a few tales that try to explain her rise to power but all have varying details. In one version, Lilith was an angel and married to Samael. They were part of the Heavenly Host, an army of angels that carried out God’s will. Howeve💛r, her husband Samael, who eventually became Satan, and Lilith rebelled against God and were cast down to Hell. Lilith thought Lucifer was weak and abandoned him in Hell to find her own path to power.
Another version explains how the Earth used to be inhabited by a race of women known as Passion and a race of men known as Lust. Unfortunately, Yahweh the Earth God, obliterated the world to wash away the corruption and deception. He recreated the Earth that emphasized innocence and rebirthed two souls named Adam and Lilith. For a time, the pair lived in harmony, but eventually, Lilith was influenced by the Devil (or Mephisto). In time, the Devil grew tired of Lilith and banished her from Hell.
The final variation of her origin is that Lilith’s fathers were Aer and Ahriman, powerful, ancient deities that created a slew of demonic gods. In this version, Lilith didn’t start as an angel or a human and was later corrupted or rebelled. She was born from evil and grew up embracing the dark side and being hellbent on ru🐠ling mortals. Nobody knows for sure which story is the correct one; even other beings who have lived for eons like Thor or Valkyrie are also unsure 𓆉what are Lilith’s true origins.
The Early Years
Whichever origin story you choose to accept as truth, it doesn’t dispel the fact that Lilith has sought dominion over the mortal realm since the dawn of time. She seduced Adam and conceived many children called the Mazikim but the majority of them were slaughtered by three angels. Lilith vowed that she would have her re𝄹venge for ꧂the deaths of her children and fled to the demon cities beneath the Red Sea.
Since her early deception of Adam, Lilith found all sorts of ways to infiltrate humanity. She posed as a goddess or sorceress to conceal who she really was and seduced many influential men to reign over their kingdoms. Lilith’s first encounter with the Midnight Sons occurred 20,000 years ago in Atlantis. Ultimately, her power couldn’t prevent the Midnight Sons from imprisoning her inside the corpse of Leviathan before the fall of Atlantis. A slightly different conclusion to this encounter was Lilith’s remains bei꧋ng scattered all over the Earth instead of being sealed inside Leviathan, but regardless, Lilith’s life force was able to roam freely.
Biding her time, Lilith outlasted the Atlantis gods and she was able to conceal herself among the Mesopotamian Gods known as the Annunaki. While amongst the Annunaki, Lilith indoctrinated herself into the Lilitu, a race of female wind demons who seduced men and tormented children. Eventually, Lilith finally emerged from the Leviathan and planned her next attempt at conquering mortals.
Modern Times
After being imprisoned inside the Leviathan for centuries, Lilith was finally able to escape. Once free, she tried calling her children to her but discovered the majority were all dead. Distraught by the revelation, Lilith set off on her reign of terror. Her reemergence began damaging the protective dimensional barriers surrounding the Earth and the Midnight Sons joined forces once again to s🐟top her.
Lilith established an alliance with Centurious, an immortal being who sold his soul to Mephisto for ultimate power. But her alliance was shortlived because Centurious was defeated by Zarathos, another Spirit of Vengence. Lilith quickly manipulated Zarathos and conceived a child but Zarathose was soon banished to Shadowside. Lilith’s time being free was also short-lived, as she was trapped once again, this time by the Faerie King Oberon. Luckily for her, she was released during the chaos of the Secret Invasion.
Now free, Lilith decided to team up with Dracula and the Vampires to help take control of Britain. Her magic was key in protecting the Vampires from sunlight, allowing them to battle during the daytime. She led the Vampire army into Britain and engaged in combat against Blade and Captain Britain, but the operatives were too much for Lilith and she was, again, banished back to Hell. It’s unknown if the events of Firaxis’s Midnight Suns take place after this event, but Lilith was awakened by Hydra now to revive the Cthon, the God of Chaos.
Powers And Abilities
With the name “Mother of Demons,” it’s not surprising that Lilith is extremely powerful. She possesses superhuman strength and endurance while having high durability and being immune to aging. Since her birth, Lilith has always had a wealth of knowledge of magical lore, surpassing even the Sorcerer Supreme.
Her magic is primarily through the usage of green energy blasts but she’s also able to conjure protective walls and visions. Lilith’s protective spells are strong enough to block radiation, which was a huge boost for the Vampires' conquest of Britain. On top of all these magical abilities, Lilith can also teleport anywhere on the planet and access other dimensions.
