This entry will sound rather trivial,ꦉ but the fact that Spider-Man: Miles Morales occurs during Christmas in a snow-covered New York City is quite appealing. When Insomniac Games first revealed the open-world New York City for Marvel's Spider-Man it was rather astounding. Two years later they one-upped themselves by taking a landscape players enjoyed and injecting it with some holiday spirit. It helped make the experience feel different enough that it wasn't seen as a copy and paste of the same world from 2018.
6 ൩ Not: Lack Of Boss Fights 🅷
Are all of the boss fights in Marvel's Spider-Man great? Most credits and players alike would likel🐈y poin🌺t to a couple of fights they felt were lesser than. Since that game has so many boss fights, though, the bottom-tier ones don't stand out as much. With Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the game has so few boss fights, that it having more than 2 subpar ones means that 50% or more of the game's boss fights are lackluster. This is the risk creators take when they develop a smaller scoped project. There's less room for error when it comes to critical reception.
5 Better: Trimmed🅰 Playable Characters ꦓ
A complaint often levied at Marvel's Spider-Man is that the sections in which players don't control Peter Parker and/or Spider-Man, are the worst parts of the game. Not only do players get to control Miles Morales, but they also have sequences in which they're guiding Mary Jane through danger. Likely due to the game's smaller scope, Spider-Man: Miles Morales has players control only Miles throughout the entire game. Don't be surprised if his best friend Ganke is playable in a sectꦬion when the game's eventual sequel comes out.
