The days of the 16-bit wars are long gone, as Masahiro Sakurai encouraged the fans watching a Nintendo presentation to check out Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox One.
The relationship between Microsoft and Nintendo has been more than cordial of late, as games that were exclusive to Microsoft platforms have been appearing on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo representatives actually thanked Microsoft during the Nindies presentation when a port of Cuphead was announced for the Nintendo Switch and an Xbox Game Studios title is appearing on the system later this month in the form of Ori and the Blind Forest.
The rivalry between the console makers has been replaced with 'wing-manning' of the highest order, as Masahiro Sakurai encouraged fans to check out Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox One during a Nintendo presentation.
Sakurai was showing off the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version of Banjo-Kazooie as part of a small presentation that happened after the recent Nintendo Direct. Sakurai explained the history of the series and its connection to Nintendo, as well as the fact that Microsoft is now the owner of the IP. The fact that Microsoft is a rival company seemingly did little to diminish Banjo-Kazooie's chances of appearing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as Sakurai claimed that both Microsoft and Rare were excited about the prospect of a🌱 crossover. Sakurai gave a 🐻surprising statement during the presentation -
"Technically, they are a rival platform holder, even so, they were happy for Banjo-Kazooie to join the Super Smash Bros. series. For that, I am extremely grateful. Rare also welcomed us with open arms. So, if you want to play Banjo-Kazooie today, you can do so on Xbox. I know this is a Nintendo broadcast, but please, give the game a try... on Xbox."
As Sakurai said this, an image of Banjo-Kazooie appeared on the screen with text saying "The original game can now be played on Xbox One". The text confirms that Nintendo was fine with the promotion and that Sakurai wasn't trying to get fired in order to escape from creating more DLC characters, though that is a very believable motive for his compliments. The relationship with Microsoft and Nintendo is now so close that Masahiro Sakurai is encouraging fans to play Xbox One during a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate livesteam, which is𝐆 the kind of maddening notion that makes the v♔ideo game industry so amazing.
