168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect is a franchise with a very complex world. It demanded the work of multiple writers and many intertwined dialogue trees. Because of that, it is only natural that some things would seem 💎contradictory or out of place. Such a vast and detailed setting cannot possibly have a perfect explanation for everything in it.

The Citadel is this fantastic, mysterious space station that is first found by the Asari. The Citadel species believed the Protheans built the station. They gathered there and used it as a hub despite not understanding its purpose or existence. Although🌼 it is a great plot device, some things about the Citadel do not add up.

10 📖 The Keepers ꧋

Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Keeper working on a Citadel terminal

Although the Codex has different theories about what the Keepers are, a concrete answer is not provided. They might be a slave species, biological androids, reaper thralls, or who knows what else. Whatever they are, it is weird that people do not seem bot❀hered by the Keepers at all. The only character that wonders what they might be is scared of getting in trouble for studying them.

It does not make much sense that the Citadel rules enforce the idea of not boಌthering the Keepers when nobody knows what they are. When the Asari found the Citadel, the Keepers were already there. Still, they did not seem to be bothered by another alien species living in the station.

9 ⛄ The Citadel Is Tꦍoo Convenient

Mass Effect Legendary Edition - The Citadel seems to perfectly fit the way dominant species live

It seems that the Citadel is a very comfortable place for all the races living there. Their technological advancements seem to always merge way too well with i🃏t. The atmosphere is pleasant to all species, and so is the gravity. For a super-advanced alien piece of tech, the Citadel is way too convenient.

Its existence would make no sense if the first species to find it did not breathe air. Maybe it was🐼 a race that did not adapt to low gravity. A race that developed thanks to biotech would not be compatible with the Citadel either, it seems. Would the Ke🥀epers change the Citadel to fit an advancing species? How would they know?

8 👍 🐼 The Citadel Council

Mass Effect Citadel Council

There were only three people on the Council. They had an Asari representative, a Turian, and a Salarian. It did not make much sense that this Council takes decisions that affect most of the known systems. And even if it did, it is weird that they only had three representatives. In fact, 168澳洲幸运5꧋开奖网:many💮 things about the Council do not make sense.

When the Citadel Council added anoth𝔉er member, it was a human one. This gets even more controversial because the Volus found the Citadel before the Turians. However, they do not seem to💛 hold any power there.

7 𓆉 It C🔯an Have An All Human Council

Mass Effect Shepard and Anderson on the Citadel

If players go the renegade way in the first Mass Effect, chances are the Council will die, and humans will take over the station. The new Council would be made by humans only. Still, they seem to behave the exact same way a๊s the old Council. They are all about politics and constantly ignore real issues.

It is hard to believe, no matter the circumstances, that🧔 the other species would accept humans to lead them. Humanity was the newest species to arrive at the Citadel. In theory, they'd be behind all other races in many different ways.

6 Citadel Laws And Pol𓆏itical Power 🅷

There was a lot of money involved in keeping the Citadel active. Although the Keepers did their part, there was much more to the galaxy's hub than its essential life support functions. The Citadel was so powerful that it has enough money to sustain its maintenance, its own security, fleets, and its politici𒈔ans.

To make it worse, the Citadel uses tax money to recruit Spectres and pay their salary. Agents who apparently make enough money 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:self-fund their operations. Sometimes their dirty work is so controversial that the Council does not want to kno♚w about♔ it.

5 Nobody Knows Anything About The Citadel 🔥

Mass Effect Legendary Edition - The Virtual Intelligence does not know much about Keepers

Many people have, at some point, decided to live and conduct business on the Citadel. They went to a place where they didn't understand the architecture nor the creatures living there, and they decided to join iꦯn. If that isn't weird enough, there was not much research done about the place.

Not a single species knows enough about the space station. Nobody knows how old it is or even what it is made of. It is acceptable that the dominant species never learned who made the Citadel. However, this only proves that the Council members are very irresponsible. They keep several million people liv🍬ing in a structure they do not understand.

4 It Was Believed That Protheans Made 🅰The Citadel

Javik Screenshot From Mass Effect 3

The Protheans were all extinct, but signs of them can be found all over the galaxy. They were a magnificent empire that was way more advanced than Turians, humans, or any other civilization of the current cycle. It 🎉might be a natural assumption that this advanced species would have constructed such an advanced space station.

However, nobody really knows how old the station is. Nobody even knows how old the Keepers are. Besides, there is nothing in the space station that seems to resemble Prothean technology. Since the Citadel cou🐻ld be older than Protheans, the hypothesis that they constructed it makes no sense.

3 The Citadel Was Never Destroye💜d In Previous Cycles

Mass Effect Approaching Citadel by Ship Screenshot

It seems that with so many cycles, several species figured out what the Reapers were. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Many cy🐻cles tried to build the crucible. If the Keepers come from the Citadel, some species should have figured out that it could be a good idea to destroy the bad guy's privat👍e Mass Relay. It seems none did, though.

Although the Reapers could have built a new Citadel, it would be a much younger one. Perhaps by finding pieces of the old Citadel, species could learn about the reapers ﷽earlier.

2 🦩 The Citadel Was Not A꧂bandoned After The Attack

Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Sovereign Attaches itself to the Citadel

Sovereig𒈔n is a two kilometers long capital ship. It went through dozens of Citadel ships as if they meant nothing to him. But it seems that the people who lived there were completely fine with what happened.

After the incident, every political leader knew what the Citadel was. Still, they decide🃏d to stay there. It is almost like the incident never happened. Although the reaper threat was delayed after t𝔉he first game, it should have been a huge wake-up call for the Citadel Species.

Mass Effect Citadel

Reapers are incredibly advanced. Their techꦍnological capabilities are far beyond any biological species. After all, they kill them all before they can advance beyond a Reaper's AI intellect. However, with all that advanced thꩵinking, their plan to trap galactic populations seems flawed.

They left the Citadel so species would 🍰gather in it after being able to reach the stars. But the station could have been used for another purpose, ruining their plan alཧtogether. It could have been a prison, a free station like Omeda, or even a farming colony.
