Commander Shepard is the hero of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Systems Alliance Navy in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect series. They made more than a few alien friends during their quest to save the galaxy from the monstrous Reaper invaders. In the first Mass Effect game, Shepard befriended 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Urdnot Wrex, a Krogan mercenary, an♚d, in the next game, a different Krogan took his place: Urdnot Grunt. Well, he can eventually get the name Urdnot♋, but his chosen name is Grunt.
This genetically engineered Krogan is the brute-force member of Commander Shepar🐻d's team in Mass Effect 2. He appears during a side mission in Mass Effect 3, too, which can go one of two ways (hint hint). Born in a lab to be the perfect Krogan, he's hiding a few secrets. What else should fans know about the young Grunt and his quest to become the ultimate warrior?
10 𓂃 Grunt Learns𓄧 Leadership Over Time
Grunt is a powerful Krogan warrior; n🉐o one doubts that. But the problem is that, despite his perfect genes and incredible strength, he has a lot to learn. He🌄 was "born" from the tank a little ahead of schedule and he is not ready to command a squad. After all, he had no in-person experience to guide him; only Krogan memories and stories.
Instead, Grunt deferred to Shepard for battlefield leadership and if asked, Grunt can even lead a squad 𒅌during the suicide mission in the Collector base. He does a bad job of i🎀t though and can even get himself killed.
9 💛 Grunt Is A Good Bouncer
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:During the Citadel DLC, Commander Shepard can throw a real rager of a party in their new apartment. But many people not on the guest list are also keen on joining the fu🉐n. Various Citadel citizens are at Shepard's door begging to be let in and someone has to keep them out. This is where Grunt came in.
He sternly turns away everyone who asks to be let in serving as a typical Krogan bouncer. Commander Shepard thanked Grunt for doing a fine job -- especially since some of the would-be partiers would have ruined everything. Grunt's demeanor suggests that he eꦗnjoyed the responsibilities a bit too much.
8 🐠 Grunt Has 💖It Easy On Haestrom
Partway through Mass Effect 2, Shepard will visit the world of Haestrom. It lies all the way out in Quarian space and is subject to a sun's powerful radiation. That sunlight will quickly eat through energy 🤪shields and act as an environmental hazard. But Grunt, thanks to his incredible physical prowess and Krogan genetics, can just shrug it off.
Being a Krogan soldier, Grunt relies on armor and a high health pool instead of energy shields. Squadmates such as Miranda Lawson and Thane Krios will suffer from the sunlight, but Grunt is good toꦦ go. Haestrom's sun won't affect his armor at all, so he can soak up Geth fire with ease.
7 Grunt Learns How To Goof Off 🍷
At first, Grunt takes himself very seriously since he was immensely proud of his perfect body and his incredible lineage. After all, his genes came from various successful warlords. But he didn't🐭 have a reputation among the Krogan yet, so Grunt had to act tough and cool all the time or risk being ridiculed. That soon changed.
During the Reaper invasion, Grunt became a respected squad leader, and he could party it up and impulsively goof off without ruining his reputation. Shepard was shocked when a C-Sec agent recounted Grunt's frat-boy antics there on the Citade𒆙l. At least Grunt had a good time, right?
6 Gr☂unt Nurses A Rivalry With Wrex
A proud warrior like Grunt who has everything to prove is bound to make some enemies and rivals along the way. He cannot match 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Urdnot Wrex's political influence or experience, but♕ he can boast about his perfect genes and his rapid rise to command among the united Krogan.
During the Citadel party, Wrex and Grunt trade vicious but well-meaning verbal barbs🍸 -- a classic youth vs. experience battle. Then, both Krogan try to impress the Commander with their "Shepard!" greetings. Commander Shepard can't quite decide which Krogan is the winner though.
5 ♊ Grunt Is Like A Newborn
Grunt is a pure Krogan, but there are some aesthetic differences between him and characters like Wrex and Wreav. For one tജhing, Grunt's skin has scales rather than folds and wrinkles. His forehead plate is made up of fragments that may fuse together as Grunt ages. His armor is clean and fresh ☂compared to the battle-scarred armor of other Krogan warriors.
All this suggests a "fresh" look for Grunt since he is effectively a newborn or a blank slate. But his genetics are also a mish-mash of many Krogan throughout the ages.🍬 Okeer, the warlord behind Grunt's genealogy, put his own spin on Krogan DNA, too, for his idea of perfection.
4 🏅 Grunt Does Away With Old Prejudices
At first, Grunt tried to inherit warlord Okeer's hatred of certain races and individuals. He did this using implanted memories and images in Grunt's mind. Due to this, Grunt goes so far as to proudly tell Shepard that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:he hates Turians. But in practice, these words of prejudice never came to anything. Grunt learned🍷 to judge people by their own merits and to observe the world through his own eyes instead of Okeer's.
Grunt gets along with Turians, the Asari people, and other alien𓆉s without issue. Or, at least, he will fight to help save the galaxy and give those diverse aliens a peaceful place in which to live. Grunt has no time for ancient grudges and h𒐪atred of aliens. Unlike other Krogan, he never idly comments on wanting to beat up Turians or anything like that.
3 Grunt Has A Whimཧsical Imagination
Grunt isn't the t✱ype to make up funny stories or write a novel, but when he has too much to drink, he'll blurt out all kinds of nonsense. Commander Shepard gets to hear it all fir🥂sthand during the Citadel DLC house party. They can stumble upon Grunt in the shower, wallowing in a drunken philosophical stupor.
Every time Shepard asks Grunt how he's doing, the Krogan will either grumble or say something nonsensical such as "168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Salarians have wiggly arms" or "Sharks!" He has no memory of this the next day though. It's just as well; he'd probably die of embarrassment if he 🌌knew.
2 💦 Grunt Is The Past & Future Simultaneously
Grunt was designed to be the ultimate Krogan of the future and, while that may be partly true, Grunt is also stuck in the past. He didn't inherit Okeer's old grudges, but he tried to adopt old prejudices against Turians instead. More🐷over, he had the genophage in him when he was born. Grunt has been engineered to only want to battle and that's how the Krogan ended up sliding back into the dark ages.
At the same time, Grunt is ready to cooperate with other aliens; he is a blank slate who's trying to realize his own destiny. Grunt won't let anyone decide his future for him. He will carve out his own destiny or die trying. That's a sentiment that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:even the robotic Geth can appreciate.
1 Grunt P൩refers Renegad♛e Shepard
When Grunt was itching to prove himself i💯n the Krogan r꧂ite of passage, he responds well to Shepard's gentle paragon dialogue since he was rather needy at the time. Otherwise, Grunt prefers the blunt, aggressive nature of a neutral to renegade Shepard. Many of those dialogue options involve hostility and confrontation.
While Grunt isn't a villain or a monster, he do꧟es prefer a Commander Shepard who speaks in terms of strength, battlefield honor, destroying enemies, and the like. Grunt is thrilled when Shepard assures him that there are plenty more enemies out there to fight. He imagines his and Shepard's enemies in a queue just waiting for the൲ir turn to get beaten up.
