This may have been a minor oversight, but Javik's biotic powers vary somewhat in appearance. It made him look familiar, but also exotic.

Why would Javik care about that? Because he adheres to the Prothean concept of the Cosmic Imperative, where species must🐭 evolve constantly and live up to their potential, or risk getting eaten, as nature demands. 8 He Sees Himself In Shepard ♛
At first, Javik reserved judgment about Commander Shepard, waiting to see exactly what the Commander is capable of. In time, he came to realize that he and the Commander weren't so diffrent. For example, Javik once commanded a frigate like the Normandy, with ♋a loyal crew.
When the time came to retake Earth, Javik proclaimed Shepard an avatar of the Prothean race, and while Javik was the avatar of vengeance, Shepard is the avat💮ar of victory, the final triumph over the Reapers. Shepard and Javik have a lot in common after all.
7 He Doesn't Impress Easiꦑl🌼y
Javik embodies the "might makes right" principle 💦of the bygone Prothean Empire, and he doesn't respect a person and their abilities until he personally sees what that person is capable of. He has some high standards, and won🍨't make exceptions.
Javik merely said "then we shall se🌠e" when Shepard offered to team up, and Javik is quick to criticize others and point out their shortcomings. He's much slower, though, to acknowledge someone else's prowess. Still, Javik was reasonably impressed with Garrus, and wished that Garrus had four eyes, so🌼 he could snipe even better.

Javik will speak highly of the Prothean Empire and its ways, and he always has a confident attitude when talking about himself, too.
