Remember back in the good old days, when one of the biggest 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect controversies was Tali's face reveal? Well, alright, that was kind of overshadowed by everything else going on in Mass Effect 3, but it was still pretty high up on the agenda. Now, we're probably going to have to wait years for another game. How times change. But that doesn't mean the fans are going anywhere.

All these years later, one fan has taken it upon themselves to fix the Tali-face issue by creating their own - and even making it visible during normal gameplay and cutscenes. This new face looks much more alien than what we got in the original Mass Effect 3, giving the quarians the unique features they deserved all along. Better yet, it implements these features into other quarian NPCs, so you can get a decent look at what's going on under the helmets.

As you can see on its 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nexus Mods page, the project adds a quarian face that's stunningly detailed, and like nothing else in the Mass Effect universe. No longer just a bunch of purple humans, Tali and her people have distinct facial features and markings. We can also see how they hook up to their suits through their noses, protecting them from outside bacteria that could prove deadly to their weaker immune systems.

Right now, the mod is only available in the Legendary Edition of the first Mass Effect, but creators Mithran56 and naNuke have plans to bring it to the other two titles in the trilogy. Of course, we're introduced to even more quarians as the story progresses, so that will make the job a lot harder. Tali's loyalty mission alone could prove to be a pain in the ass, with a whole colony of quarians to redesign.

All in all, this is a huge undertaking. Not only does it involve coming up with a design for the quarians that's completely unlike the Mass Effect 3 look, it also has to be implemented in a way that still makes it clear they need to keep covered up to survive. But with the mod installed, you can at least toggle how visible the facial features are, if you want to stay as canon-friendly as possible.

While we wait for this mod to get carried over into the rest of the Legendary Edition, it's worth keeping in mind that BioWare has at least tried to address some of the Tali face criticism. In the remastered version of Mass Effect 3, the picture of Tali you can receiveꦑ ha🦩s been updated to look a bit more alien - no longer just a photoshopped stock image. It might not go as far as the Children of Rannoch overhaul, but it's something.
