168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect has become one of the most beloved game series of all time, and for good reason. With the release of Legendary Edition in 2021, fans of the space epic got the chance to rediscover everything that made them fall in love with BioWare's unique world, to begin with. As well as that, though, they also had the chance to rediscover some of the series' creepiest mysteries.
Between the Legendary Edition and 2017's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mass Effect: Andromeda, there are plenty of unexplained phenomena that BioWare ha꧑s still not addressed to this day, and they are nothing short of bone-chilling.
8 Where Did The Thorian Come From? 🔥
During the original Mass Effect, Shepard must travel to the planet Feros in order to obtain the Cipher, which will make sense of their disconnected and illegible visions. While there, the Thorian reveals itself, described as the Old Growth. It is classified as a plant, but it's undoubtedly alive and has been for over fifty millennia, according to Shiala.
Shepard must kill the Thorian and free Shiala to get the Cipher originally created from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:combined Prothean memories by the plant monster, but the creature's origins are never explained or further explored in the other games.
7 🥂 ও The Fate Of ExoGeni
The corporation responsible for the study of the Thorian creature on Feros, as well as the fate of the colonists of Zhu's Hope that they decided to experiment on, is unclear after the end of the original Mass Effect. We are told that they retrieved the remains of the Thorian and pulled off-world, but it is unknown what became of them after that.
Their continued existence would be unsettling enough given what they've done, but the fact that they saw fit to take the creature's remains with them is all the more sinister and worrying.
6 The End🅺game Of The Kett
It seems fairly clear cut that Andromeda's Kett invade other galaxies in order to 'exalt' the local races, but their exact reasons for doing so aren't so certain. The Archon waxes lyrical about how this process will ascend those lucky enough to be chosen for exaltation, without actually giving any more information.
But their empire sounds like it is sprawling and the K🍷ett themselv📖es are obviously merciless. A sequel to Andromeda might be up in the air after its less than ideal reception, but it would be fascinating to shed more light on the Kett in future games.
5 Who Wer🍎e The Jardaan? ൩
While exploring what the Heleus cluster has to offer and investigating what is happening to the Angara, Ryder ends up finding out about the Jardaan, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an ancient race of aliens who created the 💟Remnant technology, along with the entire Angara species๊ to boot.
The exact origins and goals of the Jardaan remain a mystery to this day, with BioWare debunking the theory that they were Protheans. It's something else that could be explored in the future.
4 Ploba
Players will more than likely spend a lot of time scanning the galaxy for secrets and resources. In doing so, they come across Ploba, a gas giant whose description is sure to send chills down your spine. Bafflingly, scans reveal enormous unexplained superstructures within Ploba's atmosphere, too regular in pattern to just be the geography.
This has lead to the conclusion that Ploba may be a gargantuan supercomputer, or maybe even an ancient example of reaper tech hiding in plain sight wi🦩th🐈 the intention of indoctrinating nearby species. But neither of these theories h🐽ave ever been confirmed...or denied.
3 The Creation Of The Keepers ♛ ဣ
The Keepers are present throughout all three of the original trilogy's installments, but even the residents of the Citadel don't really know what they are. Vigil, the Prothean VI, will shed some more light on them and imply that they serve the Reapers, activating the Citadel as a Mass Relay during every cycle to allow them to travel from dark space and begin annihilating all life in the galaxy.
Still, the exact circumstances of their origins, and the species they originally may have been before being repurposed for ☂the needs of the Reapers, are not known.
2 🐎 Who Is The Benefactor?
Players who took the time to unlock all of SAM's hidden memories will be privy to the information that the Andromeda Initiative was funded by a mysterious Benefactor, whose identity is never revealed.
While the Initiative was obviously set up with good intentions, there is an undeniable shadiness to Alec Ryder's work with artificial intelligence prior to the Initiative's beginning. It is not unlikely that the Benefactor is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cold and unsympathetic person who funded the Initiative for their own ulterior motives, perhaps even due to an interest in Alec's AI work.
1 Logan
Logan is yet another gas giant like Ploba, whose existence might neve🅠r be discovered unless players comb the galaxy for secrets. Like its larger cousin, Logan has an unsettling description that hints at its true nature. Twenty years previous, a survey team attempted to chart the system, only to discover readings of several large objects beneath the clouds of Logan. As they moved in to inspect, the objects vanished one by one until they were all gone.
This occurrence never took place again, and the identity of the unidentified objects remained one of the Milky Way's most chilling mysteries.
