Although that company is Japanese, their American division has created Volta-X to appeal to ꧋a more Western audiencꦺe, as the animation style of the cute animal creatures makes abundantly clear.
Volta-X is one part 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:XCOM, one part Into the Breach, and one part Front Mission Alternative. The game centers around Voltas, giant mecha robots that are used to combat both giant monsters called kaiju as well as other competing giant robots. The world of Volta-X makes beating up kai🐓ju iꦏnto a full-contact sport with a World Volta Association overseeing battles.
Your Voltas can be customized and equipped with a variety of different💫 weapons, including drill fists, rocket punches, and plain old swords. Combat appears to be turn-based with your team of giant robots facing off against an opposing team of kaiju or enemy Voltas.
But Volta-X isn’t just about the giant robot action. You’ve also got a team of c⛦ritters that will help keep your Voltas in fighting shape, including Ian, the guitar-playing fox; Sheldon, the clumsy elephant; Mr. Hornsby, the inte🐬nse bird thing; and Benny, the even more intense monkey. You’ll command your crew to assist during combat, either making repairs or arming giant death rays to vaporize combatants.
Between fights, you’ll build your base to provide your growing crew a comfy place to live and to research and develop new armaments. This is where the game turns into XCOM, but also a bit🐻 of dating sim as you get to know your crew members’ backstori🍷es.
We don’t have a release date for Volta-X quite yet, but it’ll come out for the Nintendo Switch later this summer. Will we see Volta-X make the jump to other coꦉnsoles? That’ll likely depend on just how many wanna jump into a furry strategy game.
