Last week, we heard about how 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:MechWarrior 5 was going to stomp on🔜to PlayStation alongside a free update that would let players swap between lancemate ‘Mechs and might even engage in a bit of fisticuffs🎀. Developer PGI was coy about the possibility of melee combat coming to their giant robot fighting game, and today we’re finding out it was because they had an even bigger announcement in store for us.
Alongside the PlayStation release, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is getting a brand new expansion--the second one since the game was released on Xbox and Steam back in May. Called Legend of the Kestrel Lancers, the DLC brings a brand new 14-mission campaign that puts players in the thick of the Fourth Succession War. Two of the Inner Sphere’s biggest nations tie the knot and th🐼en declare war on pret𓃲ty much everyone else, forcing you to pick a side in this galactic battle for the ages.
Your mercenary command will sign up with the House Davion-aligned Kestrel Lancers and take part in operations in three totallyಞ new biomes: Jungle, Tourmaline Desert, and Megacity. There will also be five new procedurally-generated mission variants, incl𒁃uding Scorched Earth, Objective Raid, Targeted Kill, Guard Duty, and Battlefield.
The new campaign will feature unique mechanics, custom dialogue, and cinematics, while seven new sidequests will have MechWarriors take part in 10 new scenarios including the "all-out-war" scenario. The idea here is for fights to be bigger, with more 'Mechs on the battlefield than ever before.
Alongside the DLC will be a free update that brings UI tweaks, the ability to hot-swap between lancemate 'Mechs to control them for a while, and something that's all-new to the MechWarrior franchise: melee combat.
Melee combat features heavily in the tabletop board game on which MechWarrior is derived, but it's never been implemented in-game. Melee combat will allow 'Mechs equipped with fists (such as the Hunchback and Quickdraw) to punch their opponents for massive damage.
New 'Mech skins and 23 new 'Mech variants will also be included in the Legend of the Kestrel Lancers DLC, which arrives along with the PlayStation release on September 23.
