168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mechwarrior 5 and its DLC campa🍰ign, Heroes of the Inner Sphere, have people hooked on me🤡chs once again. Luckily, there are a ton of mechs to get in the game, each with their own unique feel and look.
MechWarrior has al🌱ways been about customizing mechs to fit each mission and your person🔯al playstyle, but there are some mechs that are better than the rest and have some unique abilities that make them stand out.
Updated December 13, 2022, by Sean Murray: With the Rise of Rasalhague DLC coming to MechWarrior 5 In January 2023, we thought it'd be best to update this list to reflect a veteran's view of the best mechs available in the Inner Sphere, so you know the right ones to pick. Be on the lookout for these machines to make your company an unstoppable force.
10 Champion
On paper, the Champion doesn’t offer much. It has no jump jets, only average maneuverability, and while its 🗹81 km/h top speed is decent for a heavy mech, its armor and firepower both leave much to be desired.
But the Champion has one quality that shouldn’t be ove🔯rlooked. All of its weapons are mounted in the torso, and its big, bulky arms block line-of-sight to that torso from any angle that’s not head-on. This makes the Champion able to withstand withering fire that would cripple most mechs, only causing the Champion to shed its useless arms, ♌thus making the Champion absolutely perfect for AI-controlled allied mechs. Give your Champion 2N a Medium Rifle, an SRM-6, and four medium lasers, then hand it to your lancemates for a reliable mech that’ll always be at your side and will never break the bank in repairs.
9 🍰 ♚ Thunderbolt Top Dog
Medium lasers are pretty much the gold standard of efficient firepower in every MechWarrior game, and MechWarrior 5 is no exception. Relatively anemic alone or in pairs, the medium laser becomes a true powerhouse as soon as you can mount four or more. The hero Thunderbolt Top Dog can mount eight and still has room for a PPC or a large laser. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:But don’t be fooled, those eight medium lasers are always the Top Dog’s primary weapons group, which it can use to quicklꦫ🧔y melt pretty much anything.
Special mention goes to the Top Dog’s little brother, the Hunchback HBK-4P, better known as the “Party-back.”🐬 It can also mount eight medium lasers, which makes it almost as dangerous as the Top Dog.
8 Wolverine Quarant𓃲in꧑e
The Wolverine has a few claims to fame. Of the 55-ton mechs, it comes to the player almost perfect, with plenty of armor and a weapons complement that’s hard to improve. It’s also one of the most nimble mechs in the game, with both turning and torso-twist speeds more akin to a light mech๊ than a 55-ton medium mech.
The Quarantine Hero variant takes everything great about the Wolverine and dials it up to eleven. It basically doubles the Wolverine 6R’s firepower with two more medium lasers and an additional SRM-6, adding extra ammo and double heat sinks to fire th👍ose weapons without overheating. Plus, the Wolverine places all of its weapons on the right half of the mech, allowing you to shoulder-charge into combat with your left side able to soak up damage without putting any of your weapons at risk.
If you want a similar mech to the Quarantine but with a more distributed armament, the Shadow🅷 Hawk Gray Death is a good runner-up, but keep in mind that the Wolve🐻rine is available from the start, whereas the Gray Death doesn’t appear until 3024.
7 Zeus
Just as the Wolverine has the maneuverability of a light mech,🔴 the Zeus is an assault mech ﷺthat’s almost as maneuverable as a medium mech. This belies the Zeus’ height and enormous shoulders that seem to soak up damage from every angle.
That said, the Zeus is a fantastic assault mech for those looking for incredible firepower without the bulk of something like an Atlas or a King Cra♒b. You’ll even get a ZEU-5T variant as a quest reward in the Legend of the Kestrel Lancers DLC, although the 6S variant is preferable for its ballistic weapon slot.
6 ꧑ Victor Bas💎ilisk
Another reward for a quest in Heroes of the Inner Sphere is the VTR-BSK Victor, also known as the Basilisk. This 80-ton assault mech comes with three small missile slots, allowing you to mount three ultra-efficient SRM-4 or LRM-5 missile launcher🏅s, while still having r🍰oom for two medium lasers and a pair of medium autocannons. It also has jump jets, double heatsinks, and best of all, ECM.
The benefits ECM brings to every mercenary company are many, degrading your enemy's aim and preventing them from targeting the mech that's jamming enemy sensors. Even if you're not the one driving the Basilisk, this mech's Guardian ECM will still provide a protective benefit to every mech that's close to it. Seek out the "Bring Her Home" quest in the Heroes of the Inner Sphere expansion to find this monster.
5 King Crab Carapace 🐎
Another Heroes of the Inner Sphere quest reward is the King Crab KGC-CAR Carapace. Although 168澳洲幸运5开奖网ꦯ:not available until later in your playth༺rough, the King Crab Carapace offers the same collection of medium ballistiℱc hardpoints as the Annihilator alongside two large missile har𓆏dpoints.
Best of all, it can still waddle around at 48 km/h as opposed to the Annilihator's 32 km/h crawl. If you want to blast away with four AC/10s, this is the best mech to do it, although MechWarriors will need to carefully ration their ammo.
4 Spider Anansi 🧸
Sometimes, you gotta go fast. The Anansi is probably the best go-fast mech in MechWarrior 5. The Spider Anansi offers twin AMS to keep it safe fro🤪m enemy ꦕmissiles and just enough firepower to out-fight other light mechs without too much trouble.
Its machine guns also allow it to quickly demolish structures, making it ideal for Demolition and Raid mission types. Always keep an Anansi in your company for just such an occasion, and it come🔥s up in the early g🐈ame surprisingly often. Keep an eye out for this Hero mech.
3 Black Jack Arrow 💯
Speaking of early-game Hero mechs, the Black Jack Arrow is perhaps the most powerful mech under 50 tons. The Arrow comes equipped 🅘with six machine guns that can absolutely eviscerate mechs once their armor has been stripped away by the Arrow’s large pulse laser and twin medium lasers.
The Arrow is also relatively fast for a Black Jack, scooting along at 85 km/h (four more than most mechs of this speed category). As soon as you find a collection of four or five-star machine guns, the Arrow becomes an absolute monster capable of chewing its way through even assault mechs in sec🏅onds.
2 ꧒ Archer Agincourt
One of the things that will come up again and again in MechWarrior 5 is the power of massed weapon slots. As soon as you can mount more than four of any particular weapon, you’ve got yourself a deadly combatant. SRMs are already one of the most efficient and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:powerful weapon systems in the game, and the Agincourt allows you to mount a whole bunꦛch of them, often destroying lighter mechs in a single salvo.
The Agincourt is the reward for completing the Heroes of the Inner Sphere mission 🌳“Bow and Arrow,” so keep an eye out for it. Before then, stay on the lookout for the Archer 2P and 2S variants that also offeꦗr more missile hardpoints, although not as many as the Agincourt.
1 🙈 Banshee Siren
For some reason, MechWarrior 5 didn’t want to bring the Banshee BNC-5S variant into the game, which is a shame - but it did add the BNC-SR Siren, which is close enough. The Siren doesn’t make an appearance until 3047, which is well into MechWarrior 5’s late𒀰 game, but mercenary commanders would be well-served by going on a hunting expedition all around the Inner Sphere looking for it.
Like all Banshees, the Siren is quick and maneuverable for ༺a 95-ton assault mech, but it can also mount sufficient𓂃 firepower and armor to stand toe-to-toe with any other mech in the game. Pair PPCs with a Medium Rifle for knock-down power at range, or mount quick-firing AC/5s with a large laser backup if you prefer more constant DPS. Jump jets and double heatsinks round out the Siren’s armament for an all-around standout that’s difficult to beat in its weight class.
