When you first start your life in the valley, you will be relying on stones, sticks, and logs for the majority of your crafting. As the years pass though, you will need stu✨rdier materials, such as ore. Ore is primarily found in caves, which can be hard to find.
In this guide, we are going to go over where to find caves, as well as what ores will be available. First, let’s take a look at every cave available in the game. Caves aren't a necessity to visit within your first year of the game; although you can gather ore, you may not have the right buildings to process the ore and craft with it.
Cave Locations
In total, there are five caves available for you to mine in. These caves are spread throughout the entire map and🌺 can often b♉e difficult to get to.
Below, you can find out ho💃w to get to each cave that is labeled in the image above. The numbers represent the cave locations, and the highlighted paths repr꧟esent the route you can take.
- This is an easily accessible cave directly north of Branica. To find this cave, head north of Branica until you reach the mountain area. Once you arrive at the foot of the mountains, head east until you find the entrance.
- This cave will be located right off the path between Gostovia and Hornica. Follow the path highlighted in the image above and you will come to the entrance of this cave.
- Similar to the second cave, this one is located directly along the path.
- This cave is located just south of Lesnica. To get here, exit the town and head south until you get to a crossroads area. Taking a right turn will lead you to this cave.
- Lastly, we have the fifth cave to the east of Hornica. You can access this cave by leaving Hornica and heading east around the lake. The cave will be across a small river, with no path leading towards it.
Cave Bears
As you come across a cave, you may notice bears nearby. Bears are rare animals and can occupy the area directly outside of a cave. If you come across a bear and don’t have a strong weapon, it’s best to avoid them. Bears are very aggressive and can kill you very quickly. Try to sneak into the cave when the bear is walking in the opposite direction. If a bear does happen to notice you, they will begin to chase after you. Fortunately, they will stop chasing you if you keep running away.
Ore In Caves
Inside caves, you can find🌳 ore. 🌄This is a strong material useful for crafting various tools and weapons. You can find the following materials inside a cave.
- Salt
- Stone
- Copper
- Tin
- Iron
All of these resources can be manually mined, excluding iron. To collect iron, you will need a Mine building. Here, you can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:assign workers to gather materials from inside the mine for you. To build a Mine, you will need a total of 20 logs and 12 planks. This cover🔴s the materials for the foundation, as well as the walls and roof.
How To Manually Mine
To mine manually, all you need is a pickaxe and room in your inventory. Any pickaxe canꦦ be used, but keep in mind that the sto♊ne pickaxe has very low durability and will break after mining for a short amount of time.
With a pickaxe in hand, approach a chunk of ore and start mining. The ore will start at 100 percent and decrease the more you❀ ♒hit it. Once the ore chunk is at 0 percent, the ore will go into your inventory.
Currently, there is no cart or wagon item available. This means that you will have to manually carry all of the ore that you mine. Looting Ore From Carts
Ore can also be found from carts and barrels scattered around paths and cave entrances. This is a good way to quickly gather ore without using an pickaxe. Around cave entrances, you may also be able to find iron ore, which as mentioned above, can only be co▨llected by villagers from the Mine buildꦯing.
With your collected ore, head to your Smithy building and smelt it into ingots. If you have collected salt, you can use this in various cooking recipes. Overall, a trip to the cave is very worthwhile. Building a Mine early in the game may seem out of reach, considering the rarity of caves on the map. Once you have a large village, you should definitely build a Mine and assign villagers to gather ore♋ for you.
