Updated January 19, 2024 by Jacqueline Zalace: The build limit in Medival Dynasty has increased since the game first launched! We've updated this guide with the new build limit, as well as how building works in the Oxbow map, which doesn't contain story quests for you to follow.

How To Start Building In The Valley

Prior to building in the Valley, you will need to complete the first quest. This can be done by speaking to Uniegost, who resides in Gostovia. Gostovia is 😼the village that you will begin the game near, so you don't have to travel too far to find Uniegost.

After finishing this short questline, Uniegost will give you permission to build wherever you want to.

Uniegost's icon on the compass bar will appear as a deed. Additionally, you will need to return to him the following spring to pay your taxes on any buildings that you have. Overall, he is your go-to guy for land management.

Where To Find Build Limit

Your build limit can be found within the 'Management' tab of the menu. 🗹On the right-hand side of this tab, you will see nine different categories, including the build limit.

This will show the current amount of buildings that you have, as well as the total number that you can make.

How To Increase The Build Limit

fields in medieval dynasty

To increase your build limit in the valley, you will need to complete story quests. These are t♕he main quests that you follow while exploring the world. Thankfully, the quests are pretty straightforward in terms of starting them; right at the start of the game, y🐭ou will begin the first story quest.

The maximum build limit is 70. This can be reached after successfully complet𓃲i🧸ng every story quest in the Valley.

Your current story quest can be viewed on the right-hand side of the screen, as well as from the 'Journal' tab of the menu. The story quests are meant to help guide you, so try to complete as many as possible! Many of the quests will function as tutorials to help you understand the basics of the world.

At the start of the game, your build limit will just be five. This is enough room to make a house or tw💧o, as well as a few other pro⛦duction or extraction buildings. We suggest completing the first few quests quickly so you can get to making your village.

Build Limit In The Oxbow Map

If you are playing on the Oxbow map, you won't have the story quests to follow in order to increase the build limit. Thankfully, all you need to do is complete the initial few quests and you are good to go! Since the map is a completely 🐓different location, there is no Uniegost to monitor/limit your building.

When you are able to build, you will instantly have a build limit of 70. Of course, you aren't expected to reach all 70 buildings too quickly, but it does give you a bit of flexibility while playing. If you have a plan in mind for how you want your village to look, you can lay down someꦗ foundations without worrying about the build l💎imit.

How To Manually Increase The Build Limit

The build limit can manually be increased from the 'Customize Game' tab of the main menu. Here, you will find a setting called 'Building Limit' with a bar that you can drag to change the percentage. This goes up to 200 percent, which is a grand total of 140 buildings.

With more buildings, your game may experience some lag. If you don't have the strongest computer, we suggest le𝓡aving this at the default 1✅00 percent.

You will still need to pay taxes on every building here, so we suggest saving up some money before attempting to reach this limit. If you get overwhelmed with too many buildings, you may be kicked out of the area, which ends the game!
