One of these options is the orchard, where you can grow a variety of trees. Having an orchard in your village can be essential to cooking, as well as craf൩ting different beverages at the tavern.
In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about orchards, including how to place them and what you can grow in them. You will not have to unlock orchards; this means that you can make an orchard right as you are given permission to build. First, let's place your first orchard.
Placing Your Orchard
To place an orchard, you will need to open your 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:crafting menu (pressing 'Q'). Doing so will open a circle-shaped menu w💯ith several crafting options.
From the menu, click on the building category. You will be able to find the orchard option within the farm building section. Although an orchard isn't actually a building, it is still categorized as a farming building. However, orchards don't count towards the build limit; you can build as many as you want.
After selecting the orchard option, you can choose where the location should be. You will be holding a stake; left-clicking will place the corner of the plot. Once the corner is placed, you can drag the plot to your desired size. In the image above, you can see one orchard square placed. Each of these squares will hold one tree. Left-clicking again will place the orchard.
Preparing The Field
Now that your orchard plot is ready, it's time to prepare the area. Unlike crops fields, you will not have to fertilize the field.
To prepare your orchard, you will need to 'grub' up the ground with a hoe. You can craft a hoe from your handcrafting menu with one log and five sticks.𒐪 After the ground has been grubbed up, you can go straight to planting ♍saplings.
Planting a sapling requires the sapling of choice, as well as a bag (regular bag or simple bag). Saplings can be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:purchased from vendors or looted from overturned wagons, while simple bags can be handcrafted with three pieces of leather.
Once you have a bag, you can select the sapling you want to place while 🌳standing over the orchard plot.
After the sapling has been planted, you don't have to do any more work. Orchards are very low maintenance. After around five seasons, your fruit tree sapling will fully mature into a tree. Now, you will be able to collect the produce during their associated seasons. If you have hops pꦅlanted, they will immediately mature the season after planting.
It's important to know that you will not receive any seeds while harvesting from an orchard. While you receive se🍬eds from harvesting farmland, you will need to buy additional saplings to grow more trees.
Assigning Workers To The Orchard
From the management tab of the menu, you can 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:assign workers to work at the orchard. Workers will grub up the ground, plant saplings, and harvest them when it's time. Prior to assigning workers, you will need to place the orchard; they cannot place the plots themselves.
All Available Seeds
There are five different varieties of produce that you can grow in your orchard. Below, you'll find each sapling available. As mentioned earlier, these saplings can be purchased from farm vendors, as well as looted from wagons and abandoned campsites.

All fruit trees will be ready to harvest every summer, and hops can be harvested every autumn.
What To Do With Orchard Items
After harvesting your fruit and hꦯops, you will have a few options of what to do with them.

Instead of selling your harvested produce, you can also craft with it. Fruits can be processed into juice, which can then be placed in a wine barrel within the tavern to make wine. Additionally, fruit can be eaten raw or cooked into various recipes, such as tarts.
Hops cannot be eaten, however, it is an important ingredient to making beer. Every beer variation will require ten hops to make.
Removing Trees
After growing the trees in your orchard, you may realize that you want to relocate. To remove an orchard plot, you will need to use the 'destroy' option from your hammer. This will remove the entire plot, and you will not be able to get the sapling(s) back. Be sure that you are okay with losing the saplings in the or🌃chard before destroying the plot🌟s.
