One of the first things you'll have to do when you embark on your dynastic adventure in the wilds of Medieval Dynasty is to learn how to take care of yourself. This involves finding sources of food and water, introducing yourself to your neighbors, and most importantly, learning how to craft.
Not only is crafting required for basically every task in the game that requires a tool, but it's necessary to build a house. This task is given to you early on in the game's tutorializing storyline and will involve you collecting some materials.
How To Get Straw
You will get the task early in the game to con🐼struct your first building - a house. This will likely be a small, simple house with a thatched roof - and thatched roof𒐪s need Straw, along with Logs and Sticks.
Straw can be harvested manually by interacting with Reeds that grow at the riverside. There is a river right next to Gostovia which is perfect for this in the early parts of the game. Simply wade into the waters and amongst the Reeds and hold "E" to take the Straw from the plants there. You'll need 32 to build your first house, by the way.
There is another way to get Straw, however - it can be collected as a byproduct of the threshing process. When crops such as Flax, Oats, Rye, and Wheat are threshed at the Barn, Straw will also 𒉰be produced. Workers who are assigned to this particular task will produce this Straw too, and this is an easy way to passively build up your stocks if needed.
While plenty of resources in Medieval Dynasty can be bought from a sh🍌opkeeper, please note that Straw is currently not available 🎀through this method.
