Problems In Need Of Attention
It is unfortunate, but there is still a notable lack of representation of people of color both within the games we play, and amongst the faces we see heading up the development of said games. There is also still a prevailing feeling of isolation amongst people of color within this industry, as well as amongst those who would like to enter this industry but are unsure about how to do so. Melanin Gamers to me is two-fold, firstly a place where I can find people to game and chill with - without the casual racism that at times can be abundant in the online game segment of video games - but more importantly, a platform to enable us to generate dialogue on topics that are often uncomfortable to ap𒀰proach but are crucial by nature🏅.
