It’s fairly easy to wipe out a dungeon in Persona 5 Royal in a single in-game day, maybe two if you get bored and want to do other things, but Metaphor’s dungeons can require multiple dives to complete because of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the lack of MP items and the shee🔯r number of enemies you have to take down.

I usually play Metaphor on my , meaning that lately, it’s the game I default to when I’m out of the house and I want to have something to play on my ဣcommute or in between movies on days I do solo marathons at my local independent cinema. But being surrounded by people and various distractions isn’t my ideal dungeon grinding sesh setting. I’d much rather be chatting with my companions, upgrading my skills, or otherwise enjoying the story.

The dungeons demand to be crawled, though. When there’s an ominous deadline on the horizon, you don🌳’t really have a choice but to get into the dungeon and fight group after group of strange creatures. That’s where auto battle comes in. While I’m having a nice beer, I can set my Steam Deck on the table and let my party duke it out, knowing that if anything too disastrous happens, I can just step in, use a couple of items to salvage the situation, and let them get back to it🔯.

Metaphor: ReFantazio’s Auto Battle AI Is Amazing

This wouldn’t work as well if Metaphor’s AI wasn’t so smart. A lot of games, especially JRPGs, have auto battle mechanics – I used it in as well, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:I loved it. I never felt like the AI was smarter than I was, and it was more just for convenience🥂 while I took breaks to check my phone since the game isn’t really difficult, but it was perfectly functional and saved me effort.

But honestly, Metaphor’s AI is just better at the game than I am. Or maybe it’s more accurate to say that it’s far more patient. I don’t love micromanaging every aspect of my party, especially because Metaphor’s combat is pretty complex, and doing that throughout several dungeons is enough to burn me out. Metaphor’s auto battle is good enough to do all of that and actually win battles for me. I don’t think it’s gotten𝓰 me killed yet, even in situatio🦋ns where I absolutely would have wiped on my own terms.

It’s not perfect. There are cases where I’d absolutely want to do the battle on my own and n🍸ot leave it up to the AI – it tends to use plenty of mana and items to win, and sometimes I’d rather avoid that. There’s still value in personally engaging with 💮the game’s deep combat systems. But for grinding dungeons, the auto battle is single-handedly keeping me from bouncing off this long, grindy RPG out of frustration, and that makes the tech pretty dang impressive.

I don’t think I’ve spent more than a single day on any of the game’s dungeons. The MP managment is probably the b🐼est I’ve ever encountered in a JRPG. MP 🌜recovery items, MP recovery passive skills, and the ability to replenish MP by attacking enemies out of squad combat. And then by end game your MP pool is so large you don’t even need to worry about it.
