It's all come down to this. Our he🧜roes head into the lion's den - what was once the seat of power within the nation of Euchronia - to put an end to Louis' schemes in . As befits such a grand locale, Skyboun💝d Avatar is vast, and filled with foes.

Metaphor: ReFantazio - Nord Mines🍌 Walkthrough
🐲Prepare f🎀or a challenging hike through Nord Mine in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
We're 🅰covering the enemies you'll face, the treasures you'll find, and providing a breakdown of each of the Sky Avatar dungeon's unique sections, as they all bring something different to the table. Additionally, we've provided a link to our page on Skybound Avatar's fierce boss battle 🦋against Melancholia Zorba.
Front Parlour
Enemy |
Notes |
---|---|
Homo Luma |
Weak to Fire and Dark. Has high Agility to start with, and uses Fishy Fandango to 🐼elevate its Hit and Evasion rates even further. |
Platinum Homo Tenta |
Absorbs all elements, so use Slash, Strike, Pierce, and/or Almighty. Toothbrush deals medium Almighty damage to all party members. Can also cast Light and Dark magic spells. |
We begin at the Royal Palace Entrance, but this is your standard "chat with your party members and/or visit More" room. Head inward for the Front Parlour, the first real zone at Skybound Avatar.
Almost immediately, you'll see the way splits east and west. Start by going west. The Homo Lumas here are the latest fish-type enemy, so they can be annoyingly swift✨ to ambush you - make sur꧙e they're turned around before approaching.
Grab the Gold Medal and Magla Candelabra blue items, but be cautious, as a new variant of those pesky exploding squid enemies will be stationed all along the walls in this area. There are also new gargoyles to contend with.
The Superior Tainted Twohander blue item not far past the Magla Candelabra should be appraised ASAP the next time you'r🤪e in a town, as there's 𒐪a good chance it'll be a powerful weapon.
Continue north on this west wing of the parlour until you reach a treasure chest with the Sealed Gauntlets inside. Once you're done here, return to the entrance hall and go east this time instead.
More blue items here - frankly, there are mountains of them throughout Skybound Avatar, so we're going to refrain from mentioning every blue item - but in a room similar to the treasure room on the east wing, there's Proletariat Abacus in this chest.
The key difference here is that this room connects on its west wall to a new area, so head through the door. A cutscene will trigger; with the staircase here blocked off, we've no choice but to enter the lower-level door.
Royal Garden
Enemy |
Notes |
---|---|
Homo Flaemo |
Weak to Electric. Uses Breath of Battle to raise its Attack and Defense stats to their m෴aximum. |
Dark Elmenta |
Weak to Light. Like all Elmentas, it flees on its first turn, so eliminate it swiftly. |
Bloodcoin Imitec |
Weak to Light. As with other Imitecs, you can spend reeve to distract it, but at🐟 this point in the game, you prob💫ably don't need to. |
Voidblack Homo Orelon |
These serve as minor sub-bosses. Weak to Electric. No other weaknesses nor resistances. Casts Mamudodyne for party-wide Dark damage and uses powerful physical attacks like Mad Rush. |
You're immediately thrust into battle against a Homo Flaemo, the Skybound Avatar's version of those big-eared human monsters from the Dragon Temple. More sprout up throughout this Royal Garden, but we want to avoid needless fights with them.
The interesting thing about the Royal Garden, and it honestly makes these easier to avoid than the Dragon Temple's, is that the Homo Flaemos are all within a sprawling garden maze. It's pretty easy to deduce💞 which routes to take to evade them, even if it seems overwhelming at first.
The eastern side of the garden has plenty of mud that must be waded through. This is less of an impediment toward enemy ambushes than it may appear; remember that rolling forward hastens your speed through swamps.
The first blue item on the east side is the Memento Hairpin, which has a DEF of 125, raises Magic by 5, and prevents Forget - so, well, don't forget to pick it up.
If you need to, you can run back and forth on the grassy patches (such as the one with tღhe Memento Hairpin) until the Homo Flaemos reverse course. They won't get to you on solid ground.
You have twin goals in the Royal Garden: the elimination of the two Voidblack Homo Orelons, one of which is at the ends of the east and west paths, respectively. 🐟As much as the party seems surprised when gettingꦰ rid of one doesn't work, it's pretty clear what's going on here!
Treasures In The Royal Garden
The following treasure chests🌜 can be found in these❀ approximate locations:
- The southeast corner of the Royal Garden contains a treasure chest that initiates a battle against a Bloodcoin Imitec. Defeat it for Divine Light Gloves, which has DEF 130, Strength +4, Magic +4, and prevents all physical ailments.
- The chest found roughly at the center, just south of the Homo Flaemos blocking the way forward, contains Destroyer's Edge, a weapon for Berserkers with ATK 370. Notably, it can be purified to become more powerful.
- The southwest corner of the Royal Garden's chest has Gambler's Anelaces for Fakers with ATK 350 that allows all normal attacks to become critical hits. The downside is that the HIT is 50.
- The chest about midway up the west wall has another Bloodcoin Imitec. Its reward is a Ghost Light Katana for Thieves with ATK 410. With it equipped, normal attacks take on a fire affinity.
Sub-Boss: Grotesque Chimenzahn
When you've finished dispensing both Voidblack Homo Orelons, head forward into the middle room that's now accessible, and you'll face Grotesque Chimenzahn.
Grotesque Chimenzahn |
This is more of a "real" sub-boss. Weak to Ice and Wind. It uses Breath of Battle to raise its Attack and Defense to the max and can also heal itself, which will naturally slow the fight down by a couple of turns. It can cast Gabout to deal high Fire damage to the party. Rend is a severe physical single-target attack. |
After the fight, you'll be back in the Front Parlour, but the staircase is cleared. Go through the newly uncovered door, cross the bridge over the Royal Garden, and you'll arrive in the Royal Passage. Save at the Magla Hollow, and if you're ready to get aꩵ ཧmove on, head north.

Metaphor: ReFant🅠azio - Homo Fulquilo Boss Battle Guid🐠e
Here's how to beat Homo Fulqu💫ilo in the Nord Mines in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Palace Corridor
Moldilich |
Weak to Strike. Repels all elemental attacks. Casts powerful Light and Dark spells, and can lower everyone's Defense simultaneously with Vidyartha. |
Ziocropos |
Weak to Wind. |
At this point, Skybound Avatar becomes nonlinear - you have doors to your east and to your west that each contain full sections. They're quite different zones, ✃as you'll see. Let's start with the left door, leading west.
You should continue to battle the Blood Imitecs in their chests as you progress through the dungeon, not only to obtain the treasures, but since they frequently drop Heavenly Waters for purification. In fact, you can steal these from them as well.
Here in the Palace Corridor, a multitude of doors await you, situated across a winding hallway that can be moreꦿ than a bit disorienting. At first, it will look like your worst nightmare.
Thankfully, there's a key to understanding the Palace Corridor that will make the whole affair quite manageable: think counterintuitively. You're going to bump into some moments of frustration, but the general rule is to always try going in the direction opposite of where you intend.
In doing so, you're broadly a ⛎good deal likelier to ge๊t where you're going, no matter how silly it feels.
Treasures In The Palace Corridor
You'll find the following chests here:
- The chest just a bit west from the entry hall contains a Blood Imitec, though upon its defeat you'll receive the Lance of the Old God, with ATK 370; it can be purified.
- On the far west end and toward the lower part of the screen, there's another Blood Imitec inside a chest. This time, your prize is a Snowfield Mace, with ATK 390. It increases Light attack strength.
- To the northeast is a chest with Blade of Totsuka for Warriors. It can be purified, and has an ATK of 370.
Sub-Boss: Leogrophon
Leogrophon |
Weak to Pierce. Resists Fire, Ice, and Light. Repels Wind. Uses Soul Scream to gain four turn icons, Breath of Battle to dramatically increase Attack and Defense. Wields attacks featuring Fire, Ice, Electric, and Wind. |
Banquet Hall
And now for something completely different: the Banquet Hall. If you can see the screenshot above, you'll know just how small this place is. Indeed, rather than being a sprawling maze like the prior sections, it's a single large room with two upstairs wings.
The twist is that as soon as you've entered the Banquet Hall, you're given five minutes to locate and destroy five Magla Flowers. You'll find them in the following locations:
- The south room downstairs.
- The north room downstairs.
- The east room downstairs.
- On the north upstairs wing.
- On the south upstairs wing.
Since you ought to be able to dispatch every enemy the Magla Flowers send out with overworld combat, you don't need to worry about real battles. Just take care n♚ot to underestimate the ✱range that some of these skeletons can attack from.
That's truly all there is to it until the sub-boss; if you're feeling the time crunch, refrain from taking detours꧃𝕴 for all the blue items until after you have finished the task of destroying every Magla Flower.
Sub-Boss: Gupdetron
Gupdetron |
Weak to Pierce and Ice. Repels Fire, and uses Breath of Battle for the usual Attack and Defense boosts. Uses severe physical and Fire attacks. |
Like the other Skybound Avatar sub-bosses, Gupdetron's a bit of a joke. With a party that can seize the advantage on its dual weaknesses to Pierce and Ice, you should have great trouble reducing its health by one-third or even a bit over half before it gets its own turn.
Corridor - Ruins
After the Banquet Hall - or after the Palace Corridor, if you did things in reverse - you'll be sent up an unsealed staircase and through another door in the Royal Passage. Another Magla Hollow is here for your enjoyment.
When you enter Skybound Avatar's last zone, Corridor - Ruins, it's just a straight passage forward until a cutscene occurs. Following the cutscene, Zorba appears, and the sho🃏wdown with♓ Louis' chief lackey begins.
Check out our upcoming guide on how to beat Melancholia Zorba to wrap things up - following the boss fight, more cutscenes ensue, and Skybound Avatar comes to a close.
