The newest installment in the Metroid series will take Samus to the Planet ZDR where she will traverse an underground labrynth of caves, magma chambers, ancient forests, and underwater depths as she tries to unlock the secrets t𝓡he p꧋lanet holds. This new gameplay trailer shows off the abilities that players will have at their disposal as they travel further into the planet. Along with the traditional arm cannon, more powerful missiles, and faithful jump ability, Dread will add a new slide technique, as well as the reappearance of the melee counter.
This new trailer also shows off additional abilities that Samus can learn as she unearths the planet's secrets and faces off against foes. The Spider Magnet ability will let Samus cling to walls and ceilings while the classic Morph Ball ability will let her traverse through narrow ducts and spaces. The Flash Shift ability will let Samus move at high speeds to get away from incoming foes and the Storm Missile will let her lock-on to multiple targets at once to unleash a heavy hit on several enemies.
Of course, Samus will need all of this at her disposal as Dread introduces one of the deadliest foes seen in a Metroid game: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the E.M.M.I robot. As seen in the trailer, this search robot will relentlessly hunt down Samus, and no ammo can penetrateᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ its thick armor. If a player is caught by one of these bots, it is an instant death, so stealth will play a key role in Dread.
This trailer also detailed how those exclusive ne🧸w amiibo will work in the game. The Metroid Dread Samus amiibo will unlock an additional energy tank when𓆏 tapped on the Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, the Metroid Dread E.M.M.I amiibo will unlock an extra missile tank to use in-game. After the two amiibo are first tapped, they can be done again once-per-day to gain additional resources.
