Xbox is bringing two classic RPGs from the late ‘90s to its Xbox and Microsoft storefronts. An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard are now both available for Xbox Insiders to preview on PC ahead of both games’ re-release. Bethesda has already updated both games for Steam, so this preview is likely just a formality. You can access either by first being an Xbox Insider, downloading the Xbox Insiders hub app on your Windows PC, and then selecting game previews. You should see both An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire and The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard available to try. An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire first arrived in 1997 as a significant departure from previous Bethesda RPGs. There’s no merchants, no gold, and nowhere to rest. Instead, the player must journey through seven levels of Oblivion using whatever they can find in order to stop the Daedra lord Me🐬hrunes Dagon from invading the Battlespire, a training facility for battlemages. While you’re at it, you’ll also have to save your partner and then escape back to Tamriel.
While Battlespire was a first-person adventure, The Elder Scrol💞ls Adventures: Redguard switches things up with a third-person camera view. In Redguard, you play as the mercenary Cyrus sum🙈moned back to the city of Stros M'Kai in search of your missing sister. On the way you’ll get waylaid by pirates before embarking on a swashbuckling journey that’s full of political intrigue.
Both games were considered commercial failures , but don’t let a 20-year-old opinion sway you. Theseꦡ games are classic RPGs that helped Bethesda evolve into the company it is today.
In other Bethesda news, the Fallout TV show is currently in production, and we j🌠ust got our first lo🌳ok at the show’s cool power armor costumes. One even looks like the Nuka-Cola armor fromꦕ Fallout 4.
