In the next few mon💦ths, Microsoft will be overhauling its store. It will soon like the Epic Games Store to be added, letting you download them without having to use Epic's website.
It, alongside Amazon, will be the first added to the Microsoft Store on Wiജndows but others are free to follow suit according to general manager Giorgio Sardo. This change could see the likes of Steam, GOG, or itch.io fo🌄llow suit.

This is part of the initiative to make the Microsoft Store an "open Store for an open platform." To💛 boot, Microsoft is teaming up with Amazon to add Android apps to Windows 11 which includes Amazon's own app store. However, for right now, only Amazon and Epic Games are taking the leap.
A lot is changing to try and make the store more user and developer-friendly, as develꦦopers will be permitted to take 100 percent of the revenue earned from apps with their own, alternative payment systems. However, games are not part of this initiative.
