Although it's stimulating to imagine what Minecraft would be like if The Great Hunger won the vote instead, especially given its potential to add or remove enchantments from items, Phantoms nonetheless offer valid gameplay mechanics that support and encourage exploration as well as sleep.

Allays are essentially small, flying, fairy-like helpers that lack any semblance of object permanence, wandering aimlessly until you give them an item to hold. Once given an item, like Redstone or co🀅al, Allays seek out that same item in a small area, collecting and del🍃ivering it to you.

Allays can hold up to a stack of the item they are seeking, and respond to note blocks. If a note block emits a sound, Allays within a 16 block radius will be drawn to that block instead of you, dropping the items they've picked up near it.

Given the options available, the Sniffer likely won due to being the most dynamic in terms of mechanics and functionality.

Sniffers will not spawn naturally; it's up to you to pull them out of extinction by finding and uncovering their long-lost eggs buried under Suspicious Sand blocks in ocean ruins. Once you've hatched your Sniffllet and it has grown up to be an adult, it will get to work, sniffing around for Ancient Seeds.

Once an Ancient Seed is found, Sniffers dig into the ground until they find either a Pitcher Pod or Torcꦑhflower Seeds, which can be used to:

• Tame parrots.
• Speed up the growth times of baby Sniffers and chickens.
