This biome is bursting with greeny, but at times, it can be difficult to find🔯. If you have been endlessly c𝓰aving to no avail in hopes of finding a lush cave, you’ve come to the right place.
In this guide, w📖e are going to go over how you can quickly find a lush cave. Additionally, we are going to take a look at what you can find inside this underground biome. Lush caves are similar on both Bedrock and Java, so regardless of what you are playing on, this guide will provide helpful information.

How To Find A Lush Cave
One of the easiest ways to locate a lush cave is by searching for an azalea tree on the surface. These trees are made from normal oak logs but have azalea flowers mixed into the leaves.
Azalea trees grow over lush cave biomes, making them a 'marker' that you can use. In the image above, you can see an azalea tree growing in the middle of spruce trees; this means that a lush cave lies underneath.
When you find an azalea tree, all you need to do is dig downwards. You will find the roots of the azalea tree made from rooted dirt, extending downwards🦩 until they reach the lush cave.
Lush caves naturally grow a berry type that illuminates t♏he area. If you are caving in darkness and start to see a faint glow, then there is a good chance that a lush cave is ꦑin that direction.
In general, digging straight down in Minecraft is not a good idea, so it's important to be careful when you are digging downwards from an azalea tree. When you start to spot moss, begin to dig out some space on each side, and then make a hole in the floor you can see through.
There is always a chance that the lush cave is huge. If this is the case, you could fall to your death while tunneling in through the ceiling. While many lush caves have water in them, it's very easy to miss it. If you make a small space around you at moss level, then you can open up the floor and look down to assess where it's safe to drop.
If you have Ender Pearls these offer a quick and safe way to drop down into the cave. Alternatively, you can use a water bucket to make a waterfall, allowing you to float down.
Biomes That May Contain Lush Caves
Unlike other biomes in Minecraft, lush caves have an equal chance to spawn regardless of the biome that lies on the surface. For example, you can find a lush cave under a taiga, as well aꦗs within the badlands.
Biomes don't offer differing chances of cave spawning so the best way to find a cave is simply to keep an eye out for Azaleas. However, it's important to keep in mind that the azalea tree marker may not always appear on the surface. The tree may not be able to spawn, or it could appear in an underground cave that is positioned above the lush cave.
If you spot rooted dirt when you are digging this means an azalea, and thus a lush cave, is close by. The presence of moss also indicates a nearby cave.
Exposed Lush Caves
On occasion, you can find an exposed lush cave. As their name suggests, these are partially (or fully) exposed, making them easy to spot from above. If you are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:exploring with an elytra, you may be able to sღpot a lush cave that is on the surface.

Plant-Life
This biome is full of plant life, and you will find the following unique blocks.

Moss can be a great tool for digging out large areas if you don't need the resources you are clearing. If you bonemeal moss it spreads to neighboring blocks; it can then be easily insta-mined with a decent hoe.
Hostile Mobs
Glow berries are a unique, vine-grow🌳ing fruit that give off their own light. Because of this, the lush cave is fairly bright and does not na🌼turally contain many hostile mobs.
Mobs need a light level of zero to spawn, but if a vine has glow berries, this will create a light level of 14. If there is an area with a light level of z🔜ero, the usual cave mobs can spawn. This includes Skeletons, Zombies, and Creepers.
Passive Mobs
Lush caves will also have a chance to contain the following passive mobs.
- Tropical Fish

- Axolotl
- Bats
If you want to collect axolotls or tropical fish remember to bring some buckets, so you can collect a pair to breed.
