The Makarov pistol made its first Call of Duty franchise appearance in 2010’s Black Ops. The gun’s next appearance came in Call of Duty: Black Op🐠s 2, where it was only available for use during the campaign.
The weapon has not returned to the franchise since Black Ops 2, though it may reappear in the upcoming Black Ops Cold War. There have been many clues hinting at ties between Black Ops 2 and Cold War, and a returning Makarov may just provide another link between the stories.
