The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter series is best known for its ever-expanding roster of dangerous creatures to hunt, but each game brings with it a whole new collection of maps and locales to explore, as well. The series does often have its mainstays such as the volcanic area, the snowy area, etc. However, this hasn't stopped Capcom from introducing new and interesting map ideas with each new entry in the series.
With Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and its certain new introductions to the series' biomes, the series continues to go strong and give us more and more areas to explore. But for now, let's take a look back at the best maps across the series so far.
10 ♌ The Guiding Lands
Nicknamed 'the Grinding Lands' by fans who were less than impressed by this map's purpose, the Guiding Lands served as an area for players to hunt freely without any time limit or maximum amount of faints. For each monster slain here, extra points would be earned towards increasing your Hunter Rank and Master Rank.
The general concept might have been divisive, but aesthetically the area is a sight to behold, meshing together miniaturized versions of all the previous maps seen in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Hunter World and Iceborne. Plus, it is the🎀 only place where Raging Brachydios ✤can be fought.
9 Ingle Islℱe 𝓰
A volcanic area introduced in Monster Hunter 4, Ingle Isle serves as some▨thing of an arena where only a select few powerful monsters can be hunted. The area itself is smaller than other, more expansive maps, owing to its purpose as a stomܫping ground for particularly nasty creatures, but the fights that take place here are always ones to remember.
The map returned in Monster Hunter Generations and Generations Ultimate, where the selection of monsters that could appear here was expanded, but it still played host to some signif💮icantly difficult fights.
8 The Tower
The Tower is an ancient, crumbling structure first seen in Monster Hunter 2. Like Ingle Isle, it is a smaller, more contained ꦬarea compared to other maps, and it allows players to take on certain monsters in particular. Most players will probably remember scaling the structure to attack the hovering Yama Tsukami, amongst other creatures.
It also appeared in the online-only Monster Hunter Frontier as the home of several more dangꦚerous creatures. Mining in the Tower provides players with decayed dragon scales as well, a fa🔯ct which has caused some players to theorize that the structure was constructed using the bodies of slain Kushala Daora.
7 The Tain♒ted Sea 🌃
Monster Hunter 3's underwater combat was significantly short-lived, but some would argue that it peaked with the Tainted Sea. Here, players would face off against the dreaded Dire Miralis as the true final boss of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. This 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:large and legendary black dragon is said to be so terrible that the magma pumped from its wings supposedly boils the oceans and thei🦩r inhabitants alive, resulting in the dead and decrepit state of the Tainted Sea.
What's more, Dire Miralis has been rumored to herald the end of the world as we know it. The Tainted Sea is exclusive to this terrible creature, and no other monsters can be found there.
6 Forest And Hills/Verda🐼nt Hills 🅠
Appearing as the first area of the very first Monster Hunter game, the Forest and Hills map is sure to fill many players with a sense of nostalgia. While it mainly serves t🌺o introduce newcomers to the world of Monster Hunter and ease them in gently, there are some more ferocious monsters that make their homes here later onღ.
It makes a reappearance in Monster Hunter Generati𓂃ons as the Verdant Hills, and a whole new range of monsters can now appear here.
5 Sacred L▨and
Yet another of the series' volcanic areas, the Sacred Land consists of a single zone in the middle of a pool of lava where the legendary 'blazing black dragon' is fought. One of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:many Elder Dragons in the series, Alatreon is something of a fan favorite and it, like almost every other final boss, gets its own s🀅pecial arena for players to fight it.
Initially, there isn't much of note here outside of Alatreon itself, but the expanded Ultimate edition of the game adds several ballistae to use against the creature, as well as a single gathering point.
4 🏅 ꦇ Old Jungle
This map appea꧟red in the very first Monsಌter Hunter game and would go on to become something of a basis for all future jungle and forest areas in the series.
It is filled to the brim with gathering points and is used as the location of several extermination quests involving small insects. Amusingly, many of the small creatures seen i♔n Areas Five and Eight cannot be i⛄nteracted with whatsoever and are only there to act as part of the scenery.
3 Old Swamp
Swamp areas are rather rare in the games nowada🍌ys, and the Old Swamp from the first game is one of the few across the entire series.
With various marshlands, caves, and open fields, it is one of the most diverse maps seen in the series, but it also boasts being incredibly atmospheric, with a deep fog settling in as players wander around and a strange emptiness at times that makes exploring the area almost eerie. It's a feeling not many maps have recaptured since.
2 🍷 Coral Highlands 🐬
One of the most inventive and unique maps in Monster Hunter, the Coral Highlands appear to have bꦉeen based on the bottom of the ocean if the water was absent.
Coral growths and marine structures pepper the locale, and some of the creatures found here even look like they might have evolved from deep-sea monsters. It is refreshing to see a map that does not fall into a category already seen in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:almost every entry.
1 ♓ Primal Forest
Introduced in Monster Hunter 4, the Primal Forest is an incredibly interesting map to explore and a large numbe🤪r of different monsters make their homes there. Like the Old Swamp, it is hugely diverse between A🦩reas and features everything from marshes to dense tropical jungles and caverns.
The most stꦅriking feature of this map is the enormous skeleton of a mystery creature draped across a large bluff, so large that players can walk through its ribcage. The creature has never been identified, either, adding to the mystery and wonder of the Primal Forest.
