One of the weirdest and most hidden aspects of the last two Monster Hunter games has been Latent Power. Previously known as Gloves Off or Unleashed, this skill has a hidden mechanic tied to it. Once understood, however, it can be incredibly helpful when taking down these massiveꦍ creatures.

6 🙈 How The Latent Power Skill Works

The Latent Power skill increases Affinity and decreases Stamina usage. Affinity increases the chance that the player will land a Critical Attack, that being an attack with a 25% damage bonus. The Affinity number denotes the chance of this happening, with 100 being the maximum, guaranteeing a Critical Attack every time. Stamina usage is a bit less complicate🌠d. Any actions like wall-running, sprinting, or attacking that use up Stamina will use up less of it.

Latent Power has to activate during a hunt, and the conditions for this are completely hidden from the player. The player is only notified when it activates, but not why it activated. It seems to activate after around two minutes, then lasts around two minutes, turning on and off at these sorts of intervals. It is still unclear exactly how it works, but in Monster Hunter: World the Latent Power skill also activated after the player had taken a⭕ large amount of damage. Here, it seems to just activate after a set period, but that period is smaller than in World, making the skill much more useful.

There are five levels of the Latent Power skill tree, which can be climbed by equipping different armor. If a piece of chest armor has Latent Power Level 1 and is combined with a piece of head armor that also has Latent🦩 Power Level 1, the player's Latent Power will be Level 2. This can be stacked with a full set of armor (head, chest, arms, waist, leg), and if each piece has Latent Power Level 1, the player will have Latent Power Level 5.

5 🌳 Level 1 - Affinity +10%, Stamina Usag🐻e -30%

At Level 1, the player's Affinity is inc💟reased by 10% and their Stamina usage decreased by 30%. The increase in Affinity can be useful at this level, but doesn't quite match up to other skills that can be acquired in Monster Hunter: Rise.

Skills like Critica𓃲l Eye, Agitator, and Maximum Might all increase Affinity and have much clearer rules around when they do. Latent Power can be useful, but at this low level, it isn't essential.

4 Level 2 🌳- Affinity +20%, Stamina Usage -30%

Now at Level 2, the Latent Power skill increases the player's Affinity by 20%, while staying at the same 30% decrease in Stamina depletion as at Level 1. If it is easy to obtain, Level 2 can be helpful, but not at the expense of other 🔯skills.

Again, constant Affinity increases can be gained from other skills and gear without too much trouble. A doubling of Affinity is great, but this skill can become ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤꧂ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚreally powerful at higher levels.

3 ☂ Level 3 - Affinity +30%, Stamina Usage -50%

Here is where the𝕴 Latent Power skill starts to get interesting. At Level 3, the skill increases a player's Affinity by 30% and decreases Stamina usage by 50%. This sort of increase is much more noticeable and is the best level to be at if the player wants to mix in other skills with Latent Power.

This Stamina usage decrease is especially useful if a player uses 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:weapons that deplete stamina — like an Iꦓnsect Glaive, Bow, or Dual Blades — (or if they just want to wall run for longer).

2 Level 4 - Affinity +40%, Stamina Usage -50% 💧 ꦓ

The higher levels are definitely a place for diminishing returns, as the 🍨Stamina depletion decrease percentage will not go above 50%. So, at Level 4, the Latent Power skill increases Affinity by 40%, with no further change to Stamina usage from level 3.

If the player is maki๊ng a focused Affinity build, this skill can be helpful at higher levels, but there are other ways to increase Affinity, as well as other skills that the player may find helpful.

1 ꦐ Level 5 - Affinity +50🐈%, Stamina Usage -50%

At Lev♋e𓄧l 5, the Latent Power skill increases Affinity by 50% and maintains that 50% decrease in Stamina usage. This highest level is unlikely to be useful to most builds, if any.

Reaching this level could easily restrict accesꦉs to other useful skills in the gam🎶e, and higher increases in Affinity can be reached by combining lower-level Latent Power with other skills like Critical Eye. Latent Power is more consistently useful in this entry than previous entries, but still not consistent enough to be an easily recommendable skill.
